She put in the work. But the first dress she made didn’t work out so she had to quickly come up with a plan B. There was literally not enough time to make an elaborate and complicated garment by the time she realized she had to scrap the first garment. She made something that looked nice enough. I wouldn’t have gave her the win but I don’t think she deserves to be told she didn’t work hard. It’s not like she napped for a day then whipped up a dress right before the runway.
Also judges don’t choose their favorite looks based solely on how hard it was to make them or how long it took or how intricate it is. They might recognize and reward that but ultimately they’re gonna go with what they though was most esthetically pleasing to look at.
@@Kelema86 Fact is, it was a piece of fabric with cookie cutters glued to it. In literally every other season she would've been read for filth by the judges and immediately put in the bottom for that look. Imo Ru making the "you were born to do drag" comments and apparently loving Jorgeous meant production had to justify these comments somehow.

A lot of queens have a style of painting that they tend to do often, with little variation. Case in point Trixie Mattel. But the problem with Daya is she looks too much like Crystal Methyd. She is mad and delusional about that and continues to refuse to change it up. And now mad and bitter because she isn’t in the top.
Except Daya’s eye makeup isn’t a Rock M Trixie Kim chi moment, it looks awkward and I don’t get why she would paint the same eye under the glasses it kinda minimized the impact those iconic glasses could’ve had if she just had her normal makeup under. just because Jorgeous does beauty make up doesn’t mean she paints the same, she’s had a different mug every week if you actually look back at them
Lady Camden is so sweet and charming. She is definitely growing on me more and more every week and I really hope she gets a win soon!!

Jasmine over-accessorized her look, but it was actually not that simple to make. She constructed a body suit with a neck ruffle out of two layers of tulle as well a removeable skirt... now, the fit was bad at the crotch, and her accessories, while they would have taken a lot of time to make, were ugly, but the body suit/skirt was actually not easy to make, and I actually liked the belt she made. Jorgeous' look, however, was pretty simple.

It frustrates me more that the judges didn’t say anything about it. In past seasons they’ve always dragged girls for bodysuits like that, yet because they like Jorgeous so much, they completely overlooked it

Daya’s pov is valid HOWEVER we all know by now that drag race is as much about the game as it is about anything else. The favoritism is annoying. That said Ru did ask Daya to adjust her aesthetic to give some independence from her drag fam and she didn’t. The clothes can’t always be helped but if she comes back with the same paint that’s on Daya.
Of course... nobody wants to be the "villain" but I bet many queens were thinking the same. I don't really vibe with Daya but girl, her outfit was nicely constructed and had nice accesories, whilr Jorgeous accesories were more cookie cutters.
Even though her delivery could have been better, Daya is definitely right about everything she has said. She can come off as bitter but I would be frustrated too if I worked that hard and that was the outcome. The judging has been sketchy. But like I said, her delivery could have been better.
I feel like uplifting the deserving top looks like Angie and Lady Camden would have made it seem less bitter? But who knows, she might have done that and it was edited out to make her look more delusional and isolated..

Daya had worst makeup on the runway. Also, there is a level taste that the judges want from her that she is not serving. You can have all the talent in world (DeJa is a seamstress) and not have taste. Daya falls into that category
There's a huge difference between being annoyed and being jealous of other people. It's been 3 weeks now that she just sits there and cry for attention, she makes a lot of side comments about the other girls that comes from a place of pure jealousy

I had to come back to say this episode was the most beautiful drag race episode I've ever watched. It was so many genuine human interactions. Wasn't overedited. GIRRRRL. Listen I'm usually not here for Daya's complaining but I totally agree with her on this; it's not fair that Queen's with a certain body type can get away with doing so little and Jorgeous has no room telling anyone else to "step it up" cause if it weren't for Angeria giving her that fabric, she would've probably been in the bottom again.

But I agree with Daya, Jorgeous DID NOT deserve that win. Facts are facts.
“It makes it seem like I didn’t work as hard as the others” you didn’t… you failed with the fabric you actually worked to get so Angeria had to give you new fabric because you weren’t skilled enough the first time. Then you made a basic garment with a basic silhouette and minimal sewing with cookie cutters hot glued onto it.
Angeria worked harder to sew her garment with a unique silhouette. Lady Camden worked harder to create the piping and wings. Daya worked harder to create her tiered dress, glasses, and gloves, Bosco worked harder to create pants with non stretch fabric, Willow worked harder to create a silhouette that was truly unique.
It was riggory. I wouldn’t be hating on Jorgeous if she didn’t pretend like she worked as hard as some of the other girls and if she wasn’t such a fool on Twitter.

@@josesena6416 Drag race is a TV show with a talent contest added. It is not a televised talent contest . When you enter a talent contest you dont get assigned a story producer you don on drag race. Daya does not have much of a storyline apart from she is Crystal's daughter and they want her to chnage. But we all know the moment she changes she is going home. So unless her story arc is changed she is screwed.
