I'm following this drama from Oslo Norway. Not taking sides as I'm not a supporter of any of the two sides, but my love for the game itself is fueled by this. Just a glance at the table makes me wish both teams go up. They are in a class of their own. Neither of them should be playing non-league anyway.
Great balanced view and appreciate the kind words for Notts. I almost want the title race to be done and dusted before the final day so that the team that should on paper win the playoffs has time to get their mental act back together after missing out on the title. Two record breaking seasons, just at the wrong time for both clubs.
Like I said in the video, it's just Wrexhams luck since we've been in the NL that the one time we smash the league, another team is smashing it as well, couldn't make it up. Wishing you lads all the best, except for the 10th of April 😂
Really honest and unbiased analysis. I really enjoyed it. Good luck to both clubs but I really hope Notts get the title. The playoffs could make great TV for Wrexham. Coyp
I'm a Notts fan and I suspect that both Notts and Wrexham will go up and deservedly so. Both teams are above the national league level in terms of standards of play. The question is who will take the first and second spot. But I still think that in the final analysis, we will be playing each other next year in the EFL.
Both Notts and Wrexham have 2 chances of promotion, they both have too much quality to stuff up twice. I think it’ll be Wrexham Auto with Notts smashing the playoffs.
Pressure starting to show now and cracks appearing with County losing at home yesterday. Staunch Wrexham supporter of over 50 years here (now living in Ireland). Great to see what's happening to the club now, it's long ,long overdue. The supporters deserve such a positive new ownership / set up and I think they'll finish just above Notts County this season, if I'm wrong I cannot see us underestimating anyone in the play offs and we will go up that way. Also mind blowing to read reports about Wrexham possibly playing friendlies against Man Utd and Chelsea in North Carolina next Summer.
I enjoyed watching this podcast. It made me feel the pain of the traditional Wrexham fans who stuck with the club. And I am saying this as a die hard Couny fan. I do think County play the better football, but I also think Wrexham might be better at grinding out results.
It's frustrating from a Wrexham fans point of view, for example at Coventry there were times were we played quick, pass and move football and looked fantastic. We just don't do that in the league. There will be plenty more of these coming out, and I'm trying to sort a head to head between a County fan and a Wrexham fan ahead of the game in April 👍
Wrexham need injured players back and quick! New signings Eoghan and now Ryan Barnett are quality, but are they enough? I hope so, but can’t fail to be impressed by County - definitely playing the better football right now.
The Barnett signing today certainly makes me feel more comfortable about the RWB role, as a Wrexham fan I'm just hoping County have this same sticky patch that we are having now at some point
As far as wrexham “stuttering” I think the reasons for this is the amount of injuries they have and have had most of this season, personally I think it’s a testament to them and the manager , new players coming in , others playing out of positions , the team is being swapped around not just every game but every half…but still they managed to push through…they aren’t being allowed to play their natural game but still get the result..still a long way to go yet…if Notts have a few injuries with their small squad they could easily fall off the cliff…the gap in point’s between wrexham and Woking is a true reflection on how our season is going…..UTST..
Completely agree Phil, as mentioned in the video the injuries are taking their toll right now but if they come through this period unscathed Phil and the players have done amazingly well
Don't think Notts County are likely to fall off a Cliff if they pick up a few injuries, Luke Williams is to smart to let that happen, he tries to rotate 2 or 3 players every game, Plus he's already brought in a couple of quality re-enforcements , in Jody Jones and Connor Evans. Notts will keep pushing right to the end. So don't kid yourselves that they won't ⚽😁👍
@@richardsilverwood4350 actually haven’t said Notts won’t keep pushing, think they’ve got a Brilliant team, also I’m sure this will go right to the very end, injuries in key positions can make a massive impact, you only have to look at Chesterfield…but I’m absolutely convinced we will both go up this season both teams are a class about the rest…
Totally agree 😊 both teams deserve to go up as they are so far in front of the chasing pack, hopefully that will be the result either way, through winning the league or play offs.
The reason we (Notts) don’t get many injuries is because of the way we play. We keep the ball for long periods so aren’t chasing all the time, it allows the players rest during the match, plus teams just back off us and don’t tackle much. The manager also rotates well and each player that comes in are up to the job.
As Wrexham fans well know, whoever has to go through play-offs, Wrexham or Notts County will be favourites and all the pressure on them but any of the other contenders can easily win a one off knock out game, that's why the national is brutal to get out of.
Playoffs for the team finishing second, especially in a season like this are horrible. There's always a tension at the ground during the game that is uneasy as well
Wrexham are indeed hanging on right now. Ever since their FA Cup heroics, which appears to have taken a lot out of them. However, it's all about form, which is fleeting. I'm sure County will be hanging on in a few weeks. You better hope so, anyway.
I don't think Notts would suffer as badly if they lost Langstaff than Wrexham would losing Mullin. Scott has the third best goals per min and most of that is not playing as a striker but alongside Rodriguez. So if Langstaff was out I think Scott would get 10 goals in Notts last 12 games. I'm not sure Palmer and Dalby would get 10 between them in Wrexham's last 14 games.
Being a Notts supporter I must admit these two clubs are both on fire , making it the most interesting league I’ve seen, whoever wins the league would have deserved it 👍
@@v1sionary100 hear that much BS coming Notts fans it get pretty boring and really only deserves a blah, blah , blah…I really hope both teams get promotion which ever way it gets done…
Notts won't spend money going up they do the money ball style with transfers. Langstaff wasn't a punt he scored for fun last season in the league below.
No doubt 28 goals last season is a good return, but for him to be the only signing, and be the main striker is a risk, no guarantee he performs at the higher level, and they'd have never thought he'd have done what he has so far.
@@FootballNationPodcast yeah I take your point on that one, tbf though I was raving about him before the season started and expected a lot of goals maybe not quite as many as he has but he's quality. If we don't go up he'll be gone as well. I do think notts will win the league as we play a better style of football, but whoever makes the playoffs in second will win it I don't agree with the whole bad day thing this year as both teams are so far above the rest. Both could probably go straight up again in league two in my opinion
This bs is getting old now………. If Wrexham only win by cheating why the hell aren’t your team’s winning the rest of their games if they are that good that it takes a cheat for us to beat them 🙄
As a Wrexham supporter I've watched both Wrexham and Notts County matches simultaneously. Wrexham are stuttering and Notts C are flying - they look a more balanced side currently. Unlike yourself, I can see Wrexham losing...The away games against D&R and Bromley concern me. Let's be honest ... we struggled against Scunthorpe . .the first goal was a dive and a draw would have been a fair result. Unless there is a momentum shift, Notts C will win the league. It is hard to see them losing points. I hope I am wrong .
I was side on to the first penalty on Tuesday Chris, there was definitely contact. The 2nd one I think the majority of Wrexham fans have said that was definitely a dive, we've just got to hope that with the likes of Davies coming back from injury it gives us a boost.
Apart from the o ious fixture wrexham v notes county, I think Dag and redbridge will have an impact on how things turn out. Wrexham have not done well there.
@@FootballNationPodcast The first thing to say is if he touched him, he barely did so. One angle clearly shows Mullin diving. Secondly contact doesn't equate with a penalty. Was there a foul or not? There wasn't't ! A forward could deliberately put their leg across a defenders.... there'd be contact, but in this instance it is the forward that should be penalised. Make no mistake I want Wrexham to win...but I don't want us to cheat! Mullin is a great player, but he has this in his locker! If I was a Scunthorpe fan I'd be extremely angry. If you believe that contact=foul, ...when this happens TO Wrexham as it will, don't moan, don't complain. Imagine if we were in a playoff game and we're team got knocked out by such a decision, I don't think you'd be quite as accepting of the decision as you are now? Kind regards, Chris

Here's hoping John, don't fancy another Grimsby incident 😂
Two brilliant teams but get the feeling that whoever misses direct promotion will suffer in the Play-offs. Come on Notts!
Whoever doesn't go up automatically will have to be so strong mentally as I think it'll be a gut wrencher.
Better to be a team in 4th-6th with momentum, than a team in 2nd who suffer the disappointment of not being promoted! One word...Grimsby!
Both Notts and Wrexham have 2 chances of promotion, they both have too much quality to stuff up twice.

That game on Easter Monday has the potential to be one of the greatest non top level games ever
