Hi Simon, Well I just purchased the G-5500 rotator just gotta get the antennas and controller, do you know anything about this SAT controller (CSN Technologies S.A.T. - Self Contained Antenna Trackers SAT)??
Hi Chris congratulations on your nice new G-5500. You will certainly enjoy it. I have not seen the CSN product but as long as it's compatible with the yaesu control unit which most are, it should be straight forward enough. It might need calibrating once it's all connected.

450 degrees did not work for me at all, when SO-50 N/W 350 degrees to S/E 120 degrees it started of ok at 350 but at 360 degrees it did not go 1 degrees it went straight to 90 degrees . So I am back to choosing 360 in the setup
A different version of the black box, hopefully cheaper than the yaesu version, l use that version, but it does the job well, l can’t see why people are having trouble with the azmith side , the g5500 will set the 450 degrees as you set up the calibration, and then when you use the software in nova, orbitron, or pcsat 32 ,it will display it,
Hi bud, Yes the yaesu unit is slightly over my budget lol this is a great cheaper option which cost me $100 including shipping. I have had it a few years now and it is easy to calibrate and working with no issues. Thx for comment

@@M0YKSHamRadio I do have a 450 degree Rotator as well how does it work for you ? In that calibration program is nothing about 450 degrees.

MØYKS - Ham Radio thank you. If you figure out how , let me know. I have the 232a model. Works fine with wispdde client but difficult with satpc.

When I am in 360 degree position and want to go to 15 degrees it wants to go all the way around
Yeah I noticed the same. Haven't got a fix for that yet
