This is fantastic. As someone who also learned French, I’d say the most helpful thing for me was to always try, never be afraid of making mistakes, and embrace the challenge. Acknowledging the difficulty and continuing to practice without fear of failure is key.
Really appreciate you sharing that man. A lot of the time we let “perfection” hold us back and don’t practice talking to people out of fear of not sounding “right”. There’s definitely an undefeated mental battle that comes with it. Big up for self-teaching yourself French, amazing stuff man💪
If you don't mind the difficulty, I'd recommend watching adult native level content straight away, with native subtitles while looking up every new word using chatgpt, then rewatching the same content without subtitles, I learned Polish to a B1 level in 6 months using this method (as an Egyptian)
I definitely agree with this as long as the subtitles are in the language you are trying to learn like you said. That’s amazing that you were able to do so, big up to you💪
I have been learning French, and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you, I am going to try using all these steps in my daily life. Any French cartoon recommendations, or comics?
I absolutely love that. Best of luck in the journey!! I would definitely recommend the “Tintin” comics. They are so easy to read and very entertaining💪
Hahahaah really appreciate the comment!! I just went on Quizlet and found this set (not mine but a free public one) that has around 150 of the most common verbs (link: quizlet.com/gb/186127197/spanish-verbs-flash-cards/?i=5yect4&x=1jqY)
Just put in the link in goggle and then you can see the flash cards from there or you can download Quizlet and practice from there. Best of luck with the journey and don’t forget to have fun!!!!

With my style of learning, I didn’t use it too much after Stage 2. However, it definitely does help in the beginning stages :)
