    "Why in some places do they stand..."?
    1. I live in Ontario Canada and we kneel from the Consecration to the Great Amen, then stand, then kneel again after the Lamb of God.
    2. My local parish is new and uses a Catholic school cafeteria. Since there are no kneelers, most people stand, some sit and some kneel.
    Maybe this one church does things differently?

    Never, I will never offend God, only men. I don’t need to know the reason why, but I have faith and trust in God, because he knows what is best for us, than ourselves.

    I phoned in and asked about motives of credibility.
    Take the Lourdes case. How do we know that it wasn't an angel who rearranged some particles-which are so fine that humans could not perceive them-into the the new skin and flesh? This wouldn't be creation from nothing, but would just be a power far beyond what humans have but which the angel does have.
    Or, more fundamentally, how do we know that the omnipotent being did not give the angel the ability to create a limited number of things (such as skin and flesh) from nothing for a limited amount of time on Earth?

    Assuming that a protestant has a valid baptism and are incorporated into the Body of Christ, does that mean that Catholics cannot say "we don't need you"?

    Re: that first question, no way. Accessing a preferred toy (e.g. video game) is not sufficient reason for breaking a law. If someone owns the copyright, pay them. If the price is too high for you to pay, go without your preferred toy and offer it up.
    The online pirating subculture is kind of breathtaking, the way it's become such an epidemic that some people genuinely think it's a default acceptable state of affairs.

      The question was talking about software that isn't sold anymore, not actively being sold.

    • @caterinadc5567
      @caterinadc5567 2 місяці тому

      @@Random64_ The questioner said it is still being sold, but the people selling it are selling it at a huge markup over what it used to cost. Therefore the question still hinges on whether those people selling at enormous price do nonetheless have copyright in which case it's a "suck it up and pay or go without" situation, or whether they have no copyright.
      (Edit for clarity: Because a copyright apparently can be sold between parties. So it doesn't matter whether the current seller actually created the content; if the creator sold the copyright then however far down the chain of later copyright owners you go, the copyright owner is the copyright owner and a Catholic may not violate copyright law to steal the toy they're selling, however unreasonable the price that's been set. It's not like food needed by a starving person.)

      @@caterinadc5567 Listen to the question again. The question clearly mentioned that the software isn't being sold anymore (abandonware) and was wondering if it is morally okay to get software that is not available by normal means.

    • @caterinadc5567
      @caterinadc5567 2 місяці тому

      @@Random64_ While the questioner called it "abandonware", the questioner also stated that there is a seller but the price is prohibitively high. It did not seem clear in this particular example whether there was truly no longer a copyright holder, since the questioner identified that there is a seller on the market and his only objection to purchasing from them was not that they had no legal right to it but that their price was high. I think Tim Staples was careful with his answer to address the fact that insufficient information seemed provided here to actually tell the questioner yes or no in this case, which is why he laid out principles instead and especially emphasized that an original creator can sell the copyright and then later copyright holders do have legal rights even if they set high prices

    • @Random64_
      @Random64_ 2 місяці тому

      @@caterinadc5567 That's not at all the question. It was talking about games that aren't sold and that the only way to get them is from another seller since it isn't sold officially anymore and the price is sometimes outrageous. Listen to it again.

      The answer is simple!
      Women can not be Father's!
      Jesus chose 12 men.
      If Jesus wanted to ordain women, He would have ordained His most devout and most obediant disciple....His Mother!
      Look back over the past 2,000 years and see the amazing roles that women have played in the Church!
      We can begin with our most Blessed Mother!
      Of all humans, including the Holy Father, she is the most perfect Christian! No one has imitated Jesus better than His own mother. She has been given to us as an example which we can strive to imitate!
      There are so many women....
      St. Mother Theresa, St. Faustina, St. Joan of arc, St. Catherine of Siena (Dr.of the church) St.Theresa of Lisieux, St. Katherine Drexel, St. Elizabeth Seton, St.Kateri, St.Bernadette, St.Clare of Assisi, St.Maria Giretti, St.Teresa of Avala, St.Edith Stein, St.Gianna Molla, St.Monica, St.Bakita, St.Rose of Lima, St.Mary Magdalene.......
      This list could go on, but I think that you get my point.
      These women all did great things for our Church in many different ways!
      Use your own special gifts to bring glory to God!
      Though as a woman, that will never include being a father!
      Sorry that my point was so long!
      May God bless you with the beauty of knowing your dignity as a woman! 🙏

      (1Ti 3:1 It is a true statement that anyone whose goal is to serve as an elder has his heart set on a good work.
      1Ti 3:2 An elder must be such a good man that no one can rightly criticize him. He must be faithful to his wife. He must have self-control and be wise. He must be respected by others. He must be ready to help people by welcoming them into his home. He must be a good teacher.)

      Women can't be priests because "priest" is the masculine form. Women can only be priestesses, and priestesses are ineffectual, so why bother wanting to be a priestess? Priestesses offer sacrifice to non-existent gods, which St. Paul says are really demons. Honestly, the only reason any woman wants to be a priestess is for the sake of having power. I know because I listen to other women. You'll notice that women don't clamor or raise a stink about wanting to carry the collection basket. It's all about being up in front of everyone with all the attention. I'm calling it out because I listen carefully.

      I'm so tired of hearing that the reason women can't be priests is because Jesus only had male disciples But at that time in history men had all the power. I believe that if Jesus returned to this day and age He would certainly include women in His group of disciples. 1:31:48
