Tibette is all so soft and pure, it's a natural chemistry between Jen and Laurel that I love, they portrayed their role so well. Still waiting for this kind of connection from the new series. How though? They go to set, get in the costumes for their characters, read the scripts and act it out. The audience is not watching these two actors personal life. They’re good actors that made it look not forced. Some actors are good at playing parents because they talk to the kid/s on set and make the kid enjoy their company and it comes off on screen and then some actors walk out of set and the kid/s look almost scared to talk to them because the actor didn’t bond with them so they’re just this person the child actor barely know the name of. Your comment made me think of how so many like screen couples and create an idea that in real life the actors have a relationship and not just the characters. Even though they have their individual families, friends and often a partner. Beal’s call and how she understood that to make the relationship look authentic there will be kisses before heading to work eg. and a hand on a knee (and same goes for the other actor that I can’t remember the name of now unfortunatly). If it’s for a scene and both actors feel safe with the physical touch and it adds to the characters’ relationship then go for it.
Laurel Holloman and Jennifer Beals are very good actresses. The scenes that Bette and Tina come off as very natural because both actresses have built trust and a friendship. They are comfortable touching and kissing each other.
This sensitivity is what the new Q is missing…this relationship as portrayed, has so many dimensions, is so beautifully layered..the new show’s relationships often come off as shallow..superficial …

She's the slow burner type but when she takes charge (stir fry scene) on my mind among others, she gets really hot, and there's no way Bette is able to resist her!! Infact, Bette may be alpha, but when it comes to Tina, she's a softie which is good... They are a beautiful couple and I hope they work things out between them!!
