      @@edwardyeo7897 exactly, that's why couperin writes 'mesuré', so it would be played in strict time. If it didn't have any indications then an inégal way of playing could be considered.

    I'm not sure why you'd need a double harpsichord for this brief prelude. Nothing in the music that would imply or demand it.

    Patrick, You are misinformed. French keyboard music, especially pieces of Couperin are meant to be exaggerated. I advise you to speak with your teacher about this issue. I know he /she will agree.
