I agree, I started listening to it as a rabbit hole branch off from Nordic/viking lullabies that I’d listen to during homework time…was guided to orthodox chants and became inspired to look into what it meant to be an orthodox Christian. I have always considered myself to be Christian but there are so many liberal and progressive ideas that churches now days have adopted. When I started looking into Orthodox, it was moving and wholesome because it feels like Christianity in the raw, untouched, ancient form.

same here my brother was into Vikings ... and I am Maronite born but converted to orthodox as when I was born again from God, and I was baptized by the fire by our lord Jesus Christ the true God the God who became flesh and died for our sins I found the word orthodox means (مستقيم الرأي) in Arabic which is no changing of the mind ... and 1000 years the church has never been changed ... In the end it's not like you have to be orthodox to have salvation. But it's important to have a faith that does not change as for instance you have the evangelical who still believe Jews are God's chosen people and believe Jesus will rule here on earth for 1000 years... may God have mercy...the new heretics who are just started denying all the saints... and understanding scripture on ... may God have mercy on us and them ... @@Checkered_Demon00

Józef Grzelak your comment is insulting to the 400 million Orthodox Christians in the world sir. It’s obvious your oblivious to Orthodox Theology and how we the Orthodox Church remain unchanged. Contrarily, the Papist Latin church to which you belong had made major changes to dogmas, faith and even Christology. We will NEVER bow to the Pope, who claims by the way to be infallible. Do I wish for our churches to unite? God willing yes! But only, ONLY if the Latin church accepts the Orthodox Church as the one only Holy Apostolic Catholic faith in Christ. Until then, there will be no union!

Oh God let me be alive on this blessed day, let me experience this day when I can see our beloved Jesus when he stands there in his golden robe and invites the believers to the true path, to the path of God.
On this blessed day, Muslims and Christians will be united, we will fight together against the Antichrist and destroy all evil and everyone who does not want to join Jesus on this day, all evil will disappear from this earth and we will have a paradise-like state on earth !
Jesus is also for us muslims, our messiah. We love Jesus so much, he is for us one of the BEST prophets of ALL time !!
We are eagerly waiting for the day of his arrival !
let us all pray every day for the accelerated arrival of our messiah jesus (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)

No, as i say he is one of the *greadest Prophets* for us muslims. We belive in him as oure *messiah* and wait for his return, to kill the *Antichrist*.
As a Muslim it is very importent that we must have knolege about the previus books of God, like the Bible or Thora.
In the Bible jesus call him self many many times a *Prophet* not God and he makes it clear that he is not God and we have to serve God not Jesus.
*TO BE CLEAR I WROTE ALL THIS SO YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IT, I DONT WANT ANY DISPUTE ! :)*
*Who is Jesus from the Bible ?*
Jesus says God is GREATER than him *(John 14:28)*
Jesus says he does not know when the Day of Judgment is *(Mark 13:32 & Matthew 24:36)*
Jesus says he CANNOT decide who sets close to him in paradise *(Mark 10:40 and Matthew 20:23)*
Jesus says God only perfect and he is not *(Luke 18:19)*
God says Jesus is His SERVANT *(Matthew 12:18 and Isaiah 42:1)*
Jesus KEPT calling God as "My God" after his death! *(John 20:17)*
Jesus KEPT calling God as "My God" after being in heaves for more than 90 years! *(Revelation 3:12)*
Jesus KEPT receiving what to say to others from God ! *(Revelation 1:1)*
Jesus miracles does not belong to him, it belong to God who sent him! *(Acts 2:22)*
Jesus was the mediator between God and humans *(1 Timothy 2:5)*
Jesus teaching does not belong to him, it belong to God who taught him! *(John 5:30, John 8:28, John 12:49-50, John 8:40 )*
*These verses from the Bible shows that Jesus cannot be GOD or even co-equal to God.*
      *Then WHO IS JESUS?*
Jesus is a PROPHET, and here you are the verses from the Bible itself:
Prophets were anointed by God in the sense that they were specially chosen by God for a specific religious mission.
*[1- Psalm 105:15]* "Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm."
*[2- Acts 4:27]*: …in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed
*Jesus clearly says he is a prophet:*
*[Matthew 13:57]* And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home."
      also read *John 4:44*
*The people around him says he is a prophet*
*[John 4:19]* "Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet.
*[Luke 24:19]* "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "*He was a prophet*, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.
*[John 6:14]* After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, "*Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world*."
*[John 7:40]* On hearing his words, some of the people said, "*Surely this man (Jesus) is the Prophet.*"
*[John 9:17]* Then they turned again to the blind man, "What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened." The man replied, "He is a prophet."
*[Matthew 21:11]* The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, *the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.*"
*What God Almighty says about Jesus ?*
*[Matthew 12:18]* Behold my SERVANT, …
*[Isaiah 42:1]* Behold my SERVANT, …
*Disciples says Jesus is a SERVANT of God*
*[Acts 3:26]* When God raised up His SERVANT
*[Acts 3:13]* The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his SERVANT JESUS?

+thegaladrim dear fellow, there are many speculations and theories on what gods and deities the proto-Bulgars (or Slavic tribes as a matter of fact) worshiped or what language or Hunish background they had. The truth is that Bulgarians copied and completely adopted Greek culture and religion during that first Empire and even though they fought long bloody wars with their neighbors, mostly nonstop with the Hungarians (Magyars) invasions and every nomadic tribe of the north, they also had many years of peace, economic trade and cultural prosperity with Constantinople where many times Bulgarians and Greeks were strong allies and at others worst of enemies. As fare as rape and pillaging goes, the Byzantine Christian armies were not exactly flying on the wings of the Holy Ghost and nether were the Forth Crusaders that sacked Constantinople. The Turkish invasion of the Balkans was not exactly a cultural or spiritual, or economic uplifting, on the contrary it was a cultural death blow with a steady decline in population. This 500 years of Ottoman Caliphate rule can not be compared to the Byzantine 170 year rule of Bulgaria after Basil II by which culturally nothing changed, we have the same religion, governmental structure and so on. The literacy education in Bulgaria at that time was about the same as that in Byzantium more or less at 30% which was way better than the education of the Turks at the beginning of the 19th century. The Turks got along well with the neighbors trough Islamic subjugation or by the Yatagan sword. One has to only look at the population growth of Bulgaria or Greece or the Balkans in general to see that it was not exactly thriving, neither was education, or prosperity and people lived in mud houses which still survive as barns in the country side. Compare that to the Turkish population now, it is actually larger than all former conquered nations on the Balkans put together. While the Turks tolerated Christians and Jews, the relationship was that of the master tolerating the dhimmis. Modest Churches were allowed to build only in specific areas with strict specifications on hight and room capacity and no bells were allowed to ring, some monasteries that had been build high in the mountains and had no influence were allowed to be operational, in general small chapels were created underground or in natural caves out of site, invisible because the superiority of Islam had to be visible and underlined at all times and Christians had to know their place. So maybe people were not dragging chains, but the harems were overflowing with blond blue eyed women which did not exactly get there at free will. Not to mention that the Jizya tax if not payed in some places was enforced by Islamization, in others it was politically forgiven, and in other regions if not payed, it was replaced with the blood tax, so the Janissary armies always had fresh replacements. Your second rate citizenship was evident on the color and stile of clothing or your ability to testify or have a claim in muslim court. Not until the 19th century and the decline of the Ottomans and the inner collapse of the Caliphate's infrastructure ( The sick man of Europe) can we talk about the Bulgarian National and Christian Revival, especially after the Greek revolt in 1821. While things were still bad, and atrocities continued, they were comparably much loose than a century before. It is at that time that the Church St. Stephen was build in 1898 allowed by Sultan Abdulaziz with his royal decree for Bulgarian Exarchate in 1870, Bulgaria got its full independence in 1878, after the Russo-Turkish war. A bit too late don't you think? If you believe that such thing was possible a century earlier it would have been done. I am not sure whats your nationality but Every Greek that I know hates the Turks with a passion that surpasses any faded Bulgarian animosity towards the Turks. And just to keep in mind that Turks are one of the few nations that knows how to get along with their neighbors, a good example for that is the genocide against Armenians and Kurds. So we hope that the Turkish neighbors have stopped getting along with others with such good deeds. Since then, Turkey has come a long way and is the most secular Islamic nation, but still has along way to go as fare as human rights and ethnic tolerance the Arabs and Kurds are not exactly loved much. And by the way not sure of how true it is but I hear that many Greeks that take a vacation to Istanbul take a special delight when visiting Hagia Sophia to spit on the grave of The Doge of Venice Enrico Dandolo. Guess Greeks have a lot to be mad fore at everybody.
