She spoke about a lot more than just her husband and trolls. It was an extremely nuanced, gracious and mature conversation! Maybe it's time to change the way WE title content; time to make it atleast a little more genuine versus usually CLick-baitey stuff?

I liked how she answered the questions and accepted the fact that celebs have professional help to raise kids and privileges too. Other celebs keep denying or give excuses but she is atleast raw and real about it. Also she said celebs are given too much importance it's true. I remember Virat saying in an interview that fans can be annoying but at the same time mints crores due to brands endorsements because of fans so I think a balanced approach in thinking is required. I don’t think she can just be tagged as lucky, she is definitely hardworking and more talented as compared to her contemporaries. Yes, but having relationships in film industry helps but no one can sustain their position solely by having a god father.

Everyone is working hard but isn't offered the right platform to showcase their talent & hardwork. So many hardworking & talented artists are sidetracked simply because they don't have the right support system & connections.

Producers will cast who they want. Directors will work with who they want to work with. No one can do anything about it. Blaming people just coz they are born privileged is highly idiotic. The Producer will have final say as to who he wants to cast coz he is the one who is putting his money on the line. Just typing in the comment section won't help. If you want to make a change start a production company and give chance to outsiders like Anuska Sharma is doing with her Production house Clean Slate.

Indian film industry is very much about who knows who. There are so many talented actresses like Kangana, Yami, etc who are way more naturally beautiful than the nepo kids but have not been treated right by Bollywood or have been sidelined. These women deserve better. They have given so many successful hits until they got sidelined because of nepotism. Now they're not even offered the scrips that they deserve because they don't have a Godfather.
And I have better things than starting a business in the Bollywood industry which is nothing but filth.
Even with all of that people can easily fail. There are so many star kids who got big breaks with big production houses and yet people don't give them the time of the day. Being a star kid isn't automatically a path to success.

She is amazing ....but it's a fact that if you give all the good opportunities and marketing to only one person then that person will be keep on improving if he/she willing so. Alia definitely worked hard on herself but she also got all the opportunities which if given to other actresses.....they might have bought something else to the table.
But there are lot of actresses whose potential have not been utilised.....they also truly deserve to be on stage & express there love for cinema...

But she has also been into the news for various reasons since the beginning.....she got the good marketing without even having an opinion. While other actresses who doesn't have support they have to create controversies or dramas just to market themselves. But Alia ....she never had to do that.
I love how hard she works on herself and the way she carries her own personality with pride, honour and confidence without any hesitation. But that persona if not utilised will be of no use.....that person will be wasted. Her talent have been well utilised. And she can nail all the characters with her hardwork. Feel so bad to read the comments saying bad things about Alia or her trying to copy Deepika. Alia is one of the most natural actors and human beings. I wore my 1979 maroon and gold kanjeevaram wedding reception saree...manthragodi. (Kerala)..for my daughter's wedding in 2008. Felt so special so I understand the sentiment. It was a wonderful choice by Alia. Of course had to stitch another blouse!!

Awful, tiring interview by Sonal Kalra: blatant pandering of the celebrity persona, making so much out of Alia's decision to wear her wedding saree to the National Awards as some earth-shattering statement on sustainability, among other things. And condescension in the way Sonal refers to people as "common people", "commoners" in her questions. All her questions are essentially footnotes. No criticality, nothing thought-provoking or insightful and there was nothing about Alia that I learnt that I already did not know or could not have found out through her appearances on KJo's talk show. Even KJo is more critical in his own bitchy way of interviewing and probing the star persona and its insecurities and absurdities.
I still don't feel why ed-a-mama launched....the way she tells story is literally very convincing but just hawa mein if you use your mind and business perspective. Did we really need a solution for this problem which is not exactly a problem in real?

The interviewer conducted the interview well and was very professional, patient and articulated the questions well. But, when she was calling out to her colleague towards the end I felt she shouldn't have made a statement about her being busy gossiping (she seemed to say it in a light hearted manner). The interview was focused on women being leaders and achieving laurels and this statement of hers just bought down women's image. I know I'm reading too much into it, but this observation almost instantly popped into my mind the minute I heard the interviewer say that.

despite what she tried to make it sound like before(my husband or I are there with our daughter), that's not true entirely...They have professional help. Its not like us normal folks who actually are hands on parents and cook and clean for our own kids/family.
