So does the 365 in the test have the updated filter and cover? It appears to have the original cover and therefore the original filter? Maybe I missed something.
I have HUSQVARNA 365 special. It is relatively new.On the decompression valve and under have little oil and carbon. Anyway,It seems that chainsaw work normal and the compression is good... I don't use decompression valve for starting..Sorry for my bad english. Thanks for your answer...
Hi, we have seen a few others that have done it, who haven't experienced any problems. Just make sure its completely cleaned when reinstalling to ensure no loose files fall into the cylinder. :)
i will never touch my 365 to turn in to 372 never, but ty for your nice job.people say just changing the thing on the side of the piston,,,,,,,got the shils just talking about that need a stronger saw. GET ONE do not destroy factory machine ....like to dot turn amercedes 180 into a Mercedes S Classe docent work...itsa comparison . lol
I run a 28" bar on mine sometimes and it handles it well. Any thing bigger I use my 881 on 36" sugihara and I have a 48" Stihl bar that I will use on the massive beech I have to buck.👍
The more air that goes in needs to have modded exhaust for the extra air to get out, otherwise it will not rev up faster as the exhaust will be a bottleneck
i have the 365 x torq very nice machine and n to expensive never cut anything yet with it,,,I have no idea when I am going to use it it's more of collection, also new 3120 xp,455 rancher new, and MS 290 used..,,,I have question for someone can help if the husqvarnas stay Manny yeaRS LIKE THAT WHAT CAN GO BAD they never got GAZ in them
Any husky dealer can order the parts you need. But i would like to note if there's nothing wrong with your cylinder, dont buy a new cylinder just to do this upgrade. The 365 and 372x-torq cylinders are the exact same, the only difference is in the transfer port caps. Either buy the 372xtorq caps, or grind out the divider in the caps you have.
Hello, nice video you have done, I just have my personal question . I bought Husqvarna 565 which has 5 horsepower so can I do upgrades to do 6 horsepower is this possible? However 572 has 5.8 horsepower Thanks!
So we'll demonstrate and explained you know your stuff thank I'm bye ing a 365 in the next few days with 20 Inc bar to do some small milling do you think I should up grade with the new saw or will I be OK with 365 as is just trying to do the right thing I don't have lots of money but it's a one time bye I don't expect an answer but apprise ait any help
@@MachineryNation 365 special is the only saw that has a different CC rating, a 372xp and 365xp are nearly identical. Meaning their CC rating is almost the same, the difference is the 365xp is baffled to produce slightly less HP then the 372xp. The 365 special is a smaller saw. Husqvarna has a history of doing this too. The end 2 numbers on alot of saws are very very deceiving. A really good example of that is the 445xp and 450 rancher. They are both 50cc saws, but the 445 is actually MSRP cheaper. Either way, the 365/372 chassis is one of the best to modify and have fun with as parts are plenty.
Not an accurate comparison, the 462 is the equivalent saw and cuts at least equal and is a bit lighter but durability? have to wait a while to find out
This is amazing. I’ve got a 365 special that’s abit dead. This will be an amazing way to bring it back to life!
Awesome, we’re glad it’s been useful for you 👍🏼
It won't work with the 365 special. Only the 365 x torq
@@h.m.a.8066 I concur
@@MachineryNation oil mix 1:33 is ok ?
You can definitely convert a 365 special to 372. You'll additionally need a new piston.

Very good comparison!
Thank you!
also few sugihara bars and Tsumura also Has Bars and GB s crazy collection

Doesn't more air flow now also need more fuel?
I would think the 372 has a different carb setting for more fuel?
If you don't know how to add more fuel you probably shouldn't be playing with this conversion.
More air past the venturi in the carb will add more fuel, or just make it richer, with the screw on the carb
Can i do in a jhonsered 2163 turbo?
Is it good to cut out only side cover on cylinder on husky 365 x torq? Thanks

Great video. Very interesting sir. I have a 365 x torq. Can I run a 24 inch bar on it.?
Thanks! Yeah, you can up to a 28" bar.
@@MachineryNation thanks for your reply. That's good 😊.Im going to get one for my 365 x torq. Great saw.

Is it possible to make the air filter upgrade on an normal 372xp without the x torq version?
Hi, it would depend on the carb mounting as it is different on some of the saws. You would need to check it against a parts drawing. We will check 👍🏼
Thanks!
good job done
does the filter change effects the performance or is it enough just to grind the baffles?
Larger air filter will optimise performance and make it look cooler 😎 👌

They should be completely fine. I’m my collection sometimes I spray a little oil in the plug hole but that would be it.
where do I get the connection from the filter to the carburettor?

No only 365 x torq model
Yes
Can i convert a 372 to a 390?
Not without a lot of machining and good luck
No

Pretty sure the transfers from a 572 can be put on a 565.
Could Husqvarna 365 special become 372xp?
spoke to the local husky guy where I am, it just becomes a 372. as the 372xp are a 75cc engine.
I need one
What’s the money on a 372xp (non x torq) 50mm cylinder ?
$150-160 for OEM, $35-50 for a chinesium knock off.
Hi,
Clylinder assy comes complete with piston, piston rings is £286.16 plus VAT.
HayesMachinery thank you very much for the reply I don’t think they want us rebuilding saws 🤯 but non the less awesome video
@@theautisticarborist6846 That's ok no worries.
Isn't it cheaper to just buy the 372 instead of buying extra parts?
Just grind down baffles on the cylinder. Free

Hi John, great choice of saw. The 365 will do most things you require, see how you get on and if you feel you need to upgrade then go for it 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation thanks for the reply I will be happy I have sthil 251 for smaller suff thanks

Why bother upgrade an x torque...old fashioned 372 xp for me
365=365Hp so 372=372HP ???
Now they would be some saws!
3 = Series 65 = CC Cylinder displacement
3 = Series 72 = CC Cylinder displacement
I hope this helps.

Or buy a Stihl ms461 that walks all over the 372
Maybe the six CC difference would have something to do with that? I own a 1999 372 XP along with a brand new 461. It's kind of an unfair comparison.
