I can't thank you enough for this video. When I bought the Cub Cadet cc30h I found the bolt with the long spacer in the lawn. I kept it and after a month or so the deck belt finally fell off. Your descriptions of how to remove the deck was spot on. Thank You for your help and time.

Nice job on showing the belt replacement. I own the Cub Cadet version of this mower that threw the belt off. I re-installed it twice and it threw it right back off each time. I finally discovered that the back belt guide lost one of the mounting bolts and when the belt was engaged allowed it to come off. These aren't terribly complicated, but unless you have a good picture of how it's supposed to work, it can be a pain.
When you work on mowers you make it look easy, I spend half my time looking around my garage for the correct tool, As always great video thank you for sharing, I hope you had a great 4th of july
@@vincentshelpfulhints4085 one of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is to put my tools away after every job. I can’t stand hunting for tools when I’m working on something. When I was very young I left some tools in the driveway after working on my bicycle. My father found the tools and calmly called me out to the garage. He had a huge roll around tool box and proceeded to push it out into the driveway where I thought he was going to make my pick up the tools I had left outside. Instead he tipped the entire toolbox over in the driveway and told me that one every tool was picked up and put away where it belonged, only then could I use his tools again and if not I was never allowed to touch his tools again. By the time I finished picking up and putting everything away I knew where every single piece belonged and to this day I don’t pick up a tool in my shop or anywhere else without paying attention to where it belongs. It’s a skill that most mechanics never learn and one that will save you hours of frustration over your lifetime. Thank you for watching. I hope you’ve had a great 4th as well. 🧨🎇🎆
@@Big_Johns Thank you John. This was an impromptu video and was happy to get him going. He has used the mower twice since putting the 44” belt on and everything is working great. The good thing about this one is, I can keep an eye on it to make sure there are no issues. 😁👍

Thank you. Great video and very instructional. The link for the 43.5 inch belt from Amazon works but Amazon says it is unavailable and not saying when it may be available or what price it will be.That's not on yoou, that's on Amazon. I'll have to locate a substitute belt and possibly a different seller too,
Thank you for this video. I replaced my deck belt with a 43.5” one and when I engage the blades, they do not cut. Brand new blades, the little bar is not broken. Any clue why this could be? The lawn mower cut before I changed the belt.
It may not be on the engine pulley. It’s easy to get the belt above the pulley. It’s also possible the routing is not correct or the engagement cable is not connected correctly. Without dropping the deck and looking at it it’s just an educated guess. 🤷🏻♂️
@baldeagle242 quick question. Brand new carburetor came with piece of foam around choke spring.. installed carburetor and choke sticks.. does the piece of foam need to be removed
i always wonder if they design something to use an odd length belt on purpose , or if they design the mower , then discover that they need to have a special belt made .
It slides across a rod on the bottom of the mower. As you raise and lower the deck it keeps the idler pulley in line with the belt path. Without it your belt will not line up properly and wear or jump off.

I have the exact same issue on the exact same Cub Cadet. Replaced the mounting bolt. Now, off to follow this video to get the f!@#$%% belt back on.
