N scale Bachmann plus F7 with broken gears repair

I just got this nice F7. It looks like new, just doesn’t run right.

Thank you for the video, I'm a budget modeler so I can't get the expensive stuff like Kato and I wasn't sure what was keeping my bachmann F7 SP Black arrow from running that I got for free but I was able to fix it thanks to this video

Looks like the NWSL wheels are also narrower and maybe have shallower flanges, so it could run on code 40 track?

I have no idea… I ordered stuff from Northwest Short line this week. I went through the catalogue 4 times, they do not offer this item anymore. It’s a shame…

Bachmann makes a great looking engine but they seem to be problematic. I wish Kato made some in the L & N livery. Great save on the engine! Thanks for sharing. Dave

i saw in a magazine an article about Clinchfeild F- units. Those looked awesome! I can imagine, the L&N looked great as well.

I've got at least one F-Unit that I wouldn't mind having a set of these axles/gears for. I tried piecing together good parts but out of 4 engines there weren't enough good uncracked gears to make one runner.
