Just a quick note. If you used table salt in your water, the gases produced are hydrogen and chlorine meaning your feedstock will slowly accumulated sodium hydroxide. If you use sodium or potassium hydroxide instead of salt you will successfully make brown’s gas, or hydrogen and oxygen. Other than that, I love the simple concept!
When I was a kid I did it in a 15 liters candy plastic jar full of HHO. I installed an igniter inside the jar 🫙… and I hid 50 meters away behind a wall. The explosion was so loud that my ears rang for days… it’s really dangerous
not endless since electrolysis using up water as it splits the hydrogen and oxygen.... ps its great for running combustion engines since gasoline is only flammable and ya gotta compress the crap out of it to get any energy out of it, and hydrogen is explosive.. so even a engine with 0 compression will work
A few words would have helped. If it's hydrogen and oxygen then it's extremely dangerous. It could back burn and maybe eat a finger or deposit plastic in your retina. But if it's hydrogen the whence comes the orange flame? 😃
if i would to consider the amount of time needed and the materials plus the risks both in making it and with the everyday usage, i can say without a doubt that buying a lighter is much better..still i thank you for the knowledge..
This is extremely EXTREMELY dangerous.... You are producing HHO inside the lighter, not just HH. HH0 is extremely explosive. Granted it is a very small hole to travel down, but it CAN travel down...Even under pressure.
@user-zb6ke7gy7e What an utterly asinine thing to say. And yes, refill butane for lighters costs about as much as 2 AA batteries where I live and will recharge your lighter assuming you're a pack a day smoker for about 3-4 years.
Pointless comment. There are many other sources of power than batteries. A small solar array could easily produce adequate power for this at no cost other than the initial purchase price.
@@unicornadrian1358 A proper Butan/Propane lighter can not blow up in your hand, unlike this contraption. So, what is the cost of a finger or two and probably some eyesight compared to a butane fill?
Though the odds of a disposable lighter going boom are very low considering how much they are engineered to not go boom, there still exists an extremely small chance that they might go boom.🤪

@unicornadrian1358 it was baking soda (written in CC)
where will i find this cc @@barnabyvonrudal1
That would explain why you can see the flame. You normally cannot see a hydrogen flame.

i never thought of that. i heard the reason it didnt take off is because nitrogen is an odorless gas that could explode

The orange colour is likely slight contamination of the salt solution. Sodium burns yellow orange.
@@unicornadrian1358 Yep. 🙂

@@barnabyvonrudal1 Must have a look at that. Thanks m8. 👍😀
@@barnabyvonrudal1 There's hydrogen and oxygen in the lighter. He's lucky it didn't go bang. 🤣 🇦🇺

crazy idea
Pointless - Refill Gas is far cheaper the Batteries.
@user-zb6ke7gy7e The same place you can buy a 7 millivolt battery.

Cheaper to buy a new lighter than 9 volt alkaline batteries
Why doesn’t it go BANG!? HHO is volatile because of the oxygen, hmmm
Лажа,смесь кислорода и водорода=гремучий газ,он так не сгорает как минимум.
