I haven't been home in about 10 years now. My parent's still live there and I have many people I want to see. Seriously considering going back to make my life where I grew up. I miss that town you know. Very nice video

Kap is slowly dying, my grandparents on my mothers side use to own the prestige motel (which is now a super 8) coming into town and we use to drive from ottawa to go see them alot when i was younger. Really was nothing to do there other then hunting and fishing. Last time i was there was 5 years ago for a Kap high reunion that my parents had and the town looked dead

I worked at radio station CKAP in 1971. Winter was tough but I really enjoyed my time there.

what employment opportunities are there in Kap in 2018/19? doesn't seem like much. other than the Tembec mill.

The town is dying - this is just hype. There is NOTHING TO DO. There are NO family doctors. The mine is closed. The mill is threatening to close always. The Mattagmi Project jobs are going to the natives and to the Quebec workers. Kap is good for hunters and fishermen.

Also there’s not many public activities, ask someone that lives there we have a lot of things to do as locals.

That comment about having a hard time if your not French is no way true, almost all French people here are bilingual , not sure whom you met but, lets just say that you were either very unlucky or your pulling a good one on us LOL ! :)

Kap is a small town, trust me. It is in no way a city.
