I swear me and your wife could probably have a whole hour long conversation about how much we love Dwight yoakam and I also love his little dance moves
I’ve known this song almost my whole life. when I was little we did not have the luxury of looking up lyrics and I could’ve sworn I thought he said “I have PICKLES in my head” when I was in my late 20’s I finally looked it up knowing I was wrong, laughed my ass off at myself and chose to still sing Pickles in my head hahahaha
Thanks for watching another video of my hero. In case you were wondering Dwight had 2 videos up because he and his director had footage up at the same time in the cutting room and it was so good that they put the videos together for one. Dwight has explained this before. Also the other director died in September 11 terrorist attacks. She was in one of the planes that flew into the towers. He and the director were very good friends too. There's a video online somewhere where he explains it. He doesn't remember which video was his and which was hers.
Dwight is a actor as well and did a awesome job in Sling Blade with Billy Bob Thornton. You should check that out if you haven't it is a really good movie.
Interesting Fact That It's Two Separate videos One Was Directed by Dwight yoakam and The Other one was Directed by another person I Can't Remember Her name was
More of a geography reaction video than a song reaction video! I like Dwight, and this is one of his best songs. Also, the studio versions like this sound so much better than the live videos of him that you’ve reacted to, where he sounded more nasally.
I'm a thousand miles from nowhere... One of Dwight's best songs. It was the first single off of this album. Remember singles? And, albums? Also bro. This wasn't the last Pete Anderson album, but it was the most critically and popularly recieved albums. My padter taught me on a j-serirs bass.
The G in Gila sounds like H. This river actually starts in the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. As a youth we spent allot of summers camping and hiking in the Gila Wilderness. There are some amazing cliff dwellings that's worth a visit.
This was all filmed about 20 min outside of the outskirts of Phoenix in the Superstition Mountain area. Now its basically within city limits, yay california
Check out Readin' Rightin' Rt. 23, that's every eastern Ky family's experience, it was mine anyway. Also check out David Ball - Thinking Problem and Clint Black and Mark Chestnut so many others also. I had this lady over ...I asked her. Do you like dwight? She said no. ...hmmmmm...I asked her. Do you like elvis ? She said no .......I stood up. Said it's late and asked her to leave and escorted her to the stairs....lmao. TRUE STORY!!!! Lmao
@justinpanariello could you and your wife please react to the music video for Dwight Yoakam singing I Want You To Want Me Cheap Trick sang that song but Dwight Yoakam covered it. Really good video I love it. And I think you guys would like it

Brother. Check out, Uncle Tupelo, ol' 97's, others in the alt-country format.
I love this song so much. The lead guitar on this song really stood out. I'm assuming it was Pete Anderson.
Dwight is such a good actor people forget he was a superstar country singer before he did any acting
Ranks right up there with one of my favorite country songs of all time.
Agreed it's so soothing to me really and it's catchy I love it

Not a huge fan of country but I could listen to that country compressed telecaster tone all day.

Love me some Doyle Hargraves. Seeing Dwight live is always a great time.
Strongly suggest Readin' Writin' Rt.23, Home for Sale, Two Doors Down, If There Was a Way, and Back of Your Hand. You won't be disappointed.

My pastor taught me on a j series bass
on 2 different playlists on my phone; have always loved this song!!
FYI Dwight is also a good actor He Played the Asshole boyfriend in Sling Blade
About the music
His lead guitarist (and producer) Pete Anderson is INCREDIBLE!!!
It's hard to think of a word good enough to describe Pete's playing. His ability to write perfect fills and solos is inspiring.
@@freddyfudd253 I would have loved to see him in a blues band

Hi I'm new here I was wondering if you would do a song by John Schneider called wherever she is?
I thought of this song when my wife and I traveled cross country from Florida to Palm Springs CA. and passed through the same scenic beauty.
Also the song was inspired by Derrick and domino's Layla song aka Eric Clapton song.
