The problem many of these opposing players make is one of experience and expectation. On that play where Wemby blocked LeBron's shot, LeBron's experience and IQ worked against him. He's made that move and that shot 1,000 times. He knows that no one is both tall enough and fast enough to get to him and block that shot. Except Wemby shatters those expectations and is right there when James turns and shoots. Same with the block on Scottie Barns' dunk. Scottie knew that he was through and had an easy bucket. Look at his body, he's just casually going up for a routine dunk. He has done that exact thing over and over...and no one has ever been able to get back and block it.
Wemby blows up their expectations. Yeah, Yao, Bradley, and even Bol Bol are that big. Yeah, lots of guys are quick. But no one is that big, that quick, and has the motor to ensure that the size and speed are put in the right place and consistently employed.
