Another fantastic video, brilliant. You show great grit and determination, watching Chris take on the pipe... legend. Really brave and I appreciate these videos bringing the past alive.
You guys sure do take chances but that's why you're the best you explore every little nook and cranny I like that about you guys keep up the good work but be safe.
G'day, Ian! Wow! Nice job! Just watching you folks with no.1 fan, (working your way through the tunnels & pipe) reminded me of 'The Great Escape' in WW!! First of all, (The Great Escape - Movie) is an excellent adaptation of the book by Paul Brickhill. Although many of the movie characters are composites of the real people, the storyline is still faithful to the spirit of the book. It deals with the escape of a group of bad egg prisoners of war stuck in a nazi prison camp. These are the best of the best prison escapees sent to a prison camp to watch and keep from escape (the first duty of a prisoner). The men openly show their resolve to keep a nice camp and settle down until the end of the war, all the while actually planning and attempting a daring escape of hundreds of prisoners at one time. It's a compelling read and movie view. The stars are excellent from the smallest role to the bigger ones, by larger than life actors like Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence and many more recognizable faces. It's an all around great movie, but also, 'a very sobering story' as this is based on real men with real courage and convictions. Read the book, watch the movie, you won't be disappointed. Thank you! Cheers! 😊📽❤️✌🏼
It's the drainage tunnel for the troop accomodation Casemates on the Western Outworks, which is part of the Victorian defence system, which can be found on the Western Heights of Dover. Even if you don't go underground, the whole area is a superb example of military might and engineering. It's simply astonishing in it's scale, especially when you consider it was all dug with picks and shovels.
Crawling through that cast iron pipe reminded me of the Shawshank Redemption when Andy escaped from prison. At least you didn't have flowing sewage to contend with. Ha!
05:07 - maybe that broken pipe comes out on to the moat somewhere? That yellow bag in front of the crawl pipe is interesting: it's for VG stores - and I haven't seen one of them for about 30 years. Wonder where that came from? Obviously not biodegradable. Haggling over Fez's jacket made me laugh - can you imagine some blokes about to escape from Colditz through a drain (which some did) arguing about it being a bit muddy? No, me neither.
And so we've learned how an IKS is born. IKS Explorations, the learn channel. :) Jokes aside, i can't blame Fez for that, i've explored my fair share of caves and when your rib cage needs to compress and the only movement you can exert out of yourself is a whimper...ye kinda want to crawl back to wherever you came from and be done with it. Took me years to train my brain to ignore the maddening thoughts. IF you ever find mosquitoes you might want to try to smoke them out with one of your coils (i seem to remember that one of you had one), i heard that they don't like being fumigated from a friend who is quite a passionate fan of those things.
Love the videos you should come down cornwall and explore some of the mines etc down here and one thing i would say is invest in a decent caving helmet as all it takes is a small chunk of rock to crib off and and hit you on the head and you would would be in trouble Cheers keep up the great content
There's no way I would get into that tube. I don't consider myself claustrophobic but I would be reduced to a quivering, sobbing lump if I were in a place so tight I needed somebody else to pull me out.
I've had situations where i explored in West Germany and France where i run into people, some times it's homeless people, some times other explorers. Paris' catacombs was such an occasion/comes to mind, nicest people are down below, but some times you run in to undesirable folks. I did lose 20 Euros on one occasion to mitigate their anger of being trespassed upon.
remember this back in 95, tunnel felt and smelt like you were back 100 yrs ago strange untouched by time.
I felt claustrophobic watching this. Thanks for sharing guys!
Teddy bear Fez is back! Can't blame him for not going in the narrow pipe! Stalker is the perfect size for exploring! Another good one!

Hats off to you Chris for getting through that tunnel, well played mate 👍
You guys sure do take chances but that's why you're the best you explore every little nook and cranny I like that about you guys keep up the good work but be safe.
Oh my God. You guys are absolutely crazy. But I really enjoyed watching you explore those tunnels..very cool😁😁😁
I'm with Number One Fan. There's absolutely no friggin way you'd get me going through that !
Great explore and thanks for sharing

Go on the boysss , sterling work from IKS rescue dept ;)
So what were the tunnels and ruined buildings used for?
It's the drainage tunnel for the troop accomodation Casemates on the Western Outworks, which is part of the Victorian defence system, which can be found on the Western Heights of Dover. Welcome to the stalker! Another great vid x
Seeing his feets go into the tunnel is hilarious!
Amazing history work guys
my gawd.. how do you find these sides?
Crawling through that cast iron pipe reminded me of the Shawshank Redemption when Andy escaped from prison. At least you didn't have flowing sewage to contend with. Ha!
Mate....how is it that you get the willies over heights.....but this doesn't faze you at all? Another fab video.

Well done big man, always face your fears. 👍
Very interesting and entertaining. Many thanks for posting. By the way... what's the music at the end, really liking it!

Big ups chris for squeez thru the pipe. As for number one fan well bit of manning up next time lol
19:35
Does it keep going? Be interesting to stick a GoPro down there on a pole.
An RC camera works really well in a tunnel, surely in the fans there has to be someone in UK with one to lend for a day.
Knee pads and gloves for the ruck sack I think guys! Great video if a tad stressful to watch LOL
Paul is made for tunnels
You should get some offcuts of plastic pipe in the garden to see what the smallest one you can all fit though is lol
crazy stuff
I had to stop watching this it’s too much for me. I am claustrophobic and that sent me over the edge.
I second that mavos, I actually am sweating, but for some reason, I keep watching. lol.
Why don't you go in the way you surprised fez ?
That's what i was thinking.
IKS Gang and the Great Escape - IKS playing Steve McQueen |
Holy shit dudes that got me on the edge of my seat Awsome.....
You guys should sell IKS lube! suitable for tight spots when you can get through ;o)
Friggin funny - hell yeah
Bucket of lard would help. Btw That blond dude is tiny. He could fit anywhere.
Cool
First hi love the videos

You got some balls going in there
No way you'd get me through that pipe lol
Respect I'm getting a panic attack just watching
Love the videos you should come down cornwall and explore some of the mines etc down here and one thing i would say is invest in a decent caving helmet as all it takes is a small chunk of rock to crib off and and hit you on the head and you would would be in trouble
Cheers keep up the great content
I mean why tho, those tunnels remind me of scary movies not history. I mean is it like a christening?
Looks like the X-file's character Tooms has returned.
