She’s one of the most talented artists today, she’s awesome!
She’s very nice and has a great sound, but one of the most talented? No, respectfully disagree. I wish her all the success in the world but if you wanna talk about talent and the most talented artists, you have to look at people like Jacob Collier.

@@TubaTonesIn terms of musical technicality and complexity, Jacob Collier is a clear genius. But you don't see people streaming his music everywhere like you do with Laufey. Laufey is talented, but her real talent lies in her ability to use music to connect with others and reach and influence the media, even though her music is not as technically complex, or as popular as pop or other mainstream genres. In that sense, she is pretty damn talented.
@@qryu I agree, her music seems to target a much wider audience than Jacob’s, which as a professional musician myself, boggles the mind. Nonetheless, she’s making great strides and I wish her all the best.
She is talented, that’s for sure, but one of the most talented, not in my opinion. Does her music reach lots of people, yes, undeniably. Do I wish someone like Jacob C had the same “reach”, definitely.
Laufey actually sounds Live equally as good as her studio recordings, if not, even better! ❤
For the real artists, it's always better live and is supposed to be.
Dumb comparison its an insult to an artist to compare a live performance to a recording its supposed to be different and better dum dum
@@anthonytaylor7928 Its not a dumb comparison, lots of artists don't sound as good when they sing live. Saying Laufey actually sounds better Live than her recordings, is a compliment.

@@anthonytaylor7928 first of all you obviously don't know what the heck you are talking about. if you know laufey recordings, she does it with live musicians and instruments and even entire orchestras, so her recordings should be the same as live performances. but live performance have that extra little depth if you do it right, that studio recordings doesn't have, even if you don't tweak it. second of all, its not guaranteed that a musician can give the same quality with live performances, you contradict yourself, if all the greats tweak their performances in a studio, then how can they reproduce that same quality live? lmao 😂😂😂
the point was that Laufey is as good as the studio recordings and even better!

Perhaps it’s not the music or voice that you see and hear, but the soul that is so freely shared. Truly authentic.
I found laufey in 2019 when she released her first music. Since then she's everything to me, her voice just flow so deeply and emotionally.

Every performance she gives always feels as though she is truly singing from the heart. I love this so much about Laufey. I don't know how it's possible to perform even better live, but she always does it. I've gotten to see her twice so far, once in an intimate little venue (Troubadour) and once with the LA Phil, and both times I couldn't help but well up with tears. Her music is so acoustic, and I feel like it really highlights the beauty of her composition, her lyricism, and of course her gently powerful voice. It so often feels like she's singing like a mother singing a lullaby to her children...it's truly so enchanting. Thanks for sharing your stories with us, Laufey
