Where did lemon pepper originate from?

As with many simple seasoning blends, the identity of the inventor was never documented and has been lost to history; however, both the lemon and the black peppercorn originated in India.
What is lemon pepper-chicken?
Lemon Pepper Chicken is an American favorite! It's super easy to make and only requires a handful of ingredients, one being a seasoning called lemon pepper. It's a zesty, peppery seasoning that goes great on a wide variety of dishes.
Ingredients
THIS RECIPE CAN BE DOUBLED AND TRIPLED
2 pounds chicken wings
2 tsp smoked paprika
3 tbsp Lemon pepper seasoning
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup corn starch
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
Pepper to taste
Butter sauce
1/2 stick melted UNSALTED butter
1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning (this is to taste add more if you prefer or add less if you prefer )
1 tsp dried parsley

A trick I have learned while cooking. Once you fry something, or coat in flour is...
Once you've coated something put it on a cooling rack with aluminum foil to allow the flour to actually adhere to the meat.
And instead of putting the fried food on paper towel, put it on a wire rack over a baking sheet then pop it in the oven for a couple of minutes to crisp up! :)
When I saw you with the rack...I was like oh sis knows...she hip she hip!

Tried this recipe and it was bomb, I did tweak it a little bit by using flour and cornmeal mix, and i did tenders instead of wings. But it was a hit! And now it’s in the dinner night rotation
