The thing I struggle the most when doing realistic portraits is doing and shading the eyes. Any tips or advice ?

I would say for shading the eyes to remember that the white part of the eye (the sclera) a shade to it. The highlight on the eye will be the lightest part. Lastly to remember that the eye is a sphere and the skin lays over that.
