@@Marcoose81 he's probably their best player. He's not the captain either. So i don't blame him individually one bit for how they're going. He's doing his job and extras, his teams letting him down.
I just don’t know how he got away with not wearing a mouth guard right through his school years. They made us wear them all through school, and I’m 10 years older than him. Strange
@@jack9315 Nah at school level teams literally have to lineup and prove they have a mouthguard. Ref checks everyone has one and also checks all the players boots and makes sure the fucking sprigs haven't worn away over time to resemble fucking knives lol. Even at club level it's mandatory now, it's literally only at the top grade in NZ where it isn't mandatory. Also idk why people keep spreading the idea that a mouthguard is somehow gunna protect your teeth when you take a boot to the face. It's to minimize the chance of concussion (when your teeth slam together it's actually one of the main reasons concussions occur). Again, It will not do a fucking thing to protect your teeth from being knocked out, it's a less than a cm thick piece of rubber. If it was meant to protect your teeth, you would have one for the bottom row too.
@@sketch3744 you can actually get one which protects your bottom teeth. I played with somebody who used it and it looks so awkward lol. And you can't understand a word he's saying
particularly moulded mouthguards greatly help with concussions because the shock reverbs through your teeth a lot. Where as in fact headgear specifically states that is NOT meant for that purpose and is more to do with abrasions and helping keeping your ears more normal xD
Ardie Savea breaking the stereotype about kiwis not having a good sense of humour.... 🙄 Also, surely his use of the word integrity was wrong no? Integrity is being honest to ones own principles isn't it? So if he had to wear a guard because people called him out on not wearing one.... Idk... But anyway, he's got a nice set of chompers, keep them in good nick!
@you cant leave this empty ah fair enough. I always considered it more about being true to one's self and ones beliefs. But then now you mention it, doing the right thing, or being relied on to do the right thing also comes under integrity too. I stand corrected!
This Man plays the Game with a sense of urgency, that I have seen in very few Players in the World. Bok Supporter here, but he has my utmost respect.
he actually reminds me of the great South African locks. I don't know why!
Agreed. Brilliant player, he's that guy that's so hard to tackle because he never stops pumping. A lot like Kwagga
Probably one of the most likeable players, honest and open.
Yeah lovely bloke, pity they keep losing.

You don't actually have to wear a mouthguard. It's highly recommend but not actually mandatory
You do have to at school level in nz but once you play for clubs they stop checking.
@@zinlinzin123 yeah i play in the UK and because i didn't go to a private school i mostly just play club and they don't check there

Awesome player, awesome person.
What’s this about? Must have missed the headlines screaming “MOUTHGUARD GATE” over here in SA.
Anything to divert attention from the performances I guess.
Apparently answering a simple question is extremely difficult if you’re a kiwi.

Mouthguard is essential but headgear optional? Don’t get chipped teeth, but if you get knocked out that’s on you?
