My feeling is that if someone is trying to plug their camera into the HDMI output of their graphics card, then their level of knowledge is perhaps not up to the task of dealing with capture cards and PCI express slot. It might be easier for them to simply plug a USB webcam like the Logitech 920 into the back of their computer. Sure the quality may not be amazing but it’s the easiest way to get a camera into vMix imho.
You know the rest of us wanted to say the same, but waaaaay less polite,... ;)

What I'm seeking is a way to overlay live video into a color key area of a Windows program. This formally was done by a now obsolete (Windows XP) card that had a VGA output and a video input. Now I need to migrate the program to Windows 10 (got it). But I have no current overlay card that will overlay on the color key area/ Cheers

Looks to be a bit of a bargain compared to the SDI cards.

If i dont have a hdmi input, how do i install it? or do i need to buy something?
You can install vMix without a capture device. You'd still be able to add images/videos/audio etc but to input your camera you'd need a capture device. You could still use something like a webcam via USB and that won't require a capture device.

Yes. Typically they're listed as HD Cam or Web Cam and can be selected from the Add Input>Camera menu. You could download our Trial to test it out.

Which one is better internal or external capture card
It depends on your production. If you have a PC and want multiple inputs, then an internal capture card is going to be the best way to go.
Hi I am using Blackmagic television pro and I don't know how to broadcast with vMix. How should I do?
If you wanted to use vMix for streaming, you'd need to output the ATEM into vMix. If you're just using the program output via SDI, then a single SDI input card would work. That could be a USB3 option or PCIe if you wanted to install to your computer.

Yes, the 2070 is a good GPU.
Sooo you still need a capture card? I thought the Vmix is the capture software?
Our software allows you to use the video sources once captured by the computer. It's used for live production where you can record and stream. It's not a video editing program.
Does EOS Webcam Utiility work with vMix?
The EOS Webcam Utility is limited to very low quality, so we have not implemented support and instead recommend using a capture card to take advantage of your Canon camera's full quality.

Hi. Did you mean without a video capture card? The only way to bring in cameras into vMix without a capture card is by using USB webcams. Or remote camera sources such as IP Cameras and NDI sources.
