Very inspiring to watch from someone whose health no longer enables walks of this kind. It's just another way of feeling that I'm there in such a marvellous environment. Agree wholeheartedly about the need to hug those ancient trees!
Holding back tears tbh. For other commenters Dave was good friends with my father and I'm truly encouraging anyone that is reading this to please subscribe. Dave is genuinely investing himself into this content and it shows. So proud of you Dave.
Worked really well on it’s first outing though stove not great in wind hence the shield but was really quick and the cup sits nicely inside my Ali pot for when I’m not camping solo 🏕
Hi Dave, nice to bump into you on the hike.. my partner and I have been watching your videos and I was thinking "I recognize that face" hah.. beautiful day for it
Hey Lance, yes it’s lovely to catch up with my followers, hope the video was a good representation of your day on Karioi. Thanks for stopping for a chat.
Thanks Brad, yes I’ve noticed you’ve been pumping out of late too. Yeah I’ll have a go at that logo, it was annoying me that it was full size, it’s just finding the time to redo it. I really appreciate your encouragement and any advice you can provide in order to make this a more enjoyable watch for my followers. 🏕
We were just in Raglan on Tuesday and thought it would be cool to climb up there when we’re a bit fitter. After watching this, we’ll definitely be taking the easy route!
Leon, there were boat trailers from the water‘s edge all the way up to the main road and then some. Share it with your dad and say you caught him slacking off when it should’ve been working or at church on Sunday 😀
@@OutdoorsmanDave Hi Dave. I don't have an answer for your question however if you watch Wiltshire Man on UA-cam, his latest publication 12 Nov, his first piece of music intro is the sort of thing. Other UA-cam sites also may give you ideas. You photography and presentation is good.

Awesome my goal is achieved then, please feel free to work through my Hiking playlist for more 👋
Wunderschön ❤❤❤
Cheers

Thanks man. I wonder what Mark would be thinking of our enterprises. Boys, it’s no boat, but it’s still going places 🛥
Nice one thanks Dave!
You are most welcome, enjoy that volcano 🌋
Nice music, also great to see the cooking set.

Love this hike, even in bad weather it is fun, the views are spectacular when the weather is good though!
Yes, I’ve done it a few times now, helps to have another car for far end but stunning views on the way to summit
@@OutdoorsmanDave That first hill though... haha, especially on a stinking hot day!
Fortunately I’m rather fit 👍
Very enjoyable watch thanks Dave.
You’re most welcome guys.
Good stories make a good video. Nicely done.
Thanks Pete, yes it was a challenge to make a story from a day hike. The lady in red won’t let us overnight yet.
Beautiful
Thanks, yes I enjoyed putting this one together

I like the story telling, Dave. It really enhances the video. Good job.
Thanks, Josh, nothing better than an adventure and a good story, Oh and to get my wife on a hike.
Dave you've come so far doing your thing! It's so cool to see the progression. Really nice thumbnail on this one!
The logo at 0:18 should be about a third of it's final size on screen. Small logo's on black with the smoke will look much cleaner :)
Dang the shooting is REALLY good

Nice one Dave.
Thanks, some of us creators have to encourage people to go hiking and camping because it’s not always raining 🤣

Thanks for watching, when’s the van ready, had any more kids 🐐
@@OutdoorsmanDave van is pretty much done! Now just waiting for lockdown to end! No more kids, just a bunch of chickens.
Sounds awesome and foul 😆
Nice I'd love to do this too
I’ve done it twice before, before the UA-cam days but never on a clear day. It’s a real pocket rock hike
Wow Dave cracking good view from the top but some of that track definitely not “bring mans best friend” territory :)
Thanks Chris - Its no dogs allowed, Bentley is light enough to carry though.
Spotted my dads truck and boat trailer at manu bay in this video.

Hi Dave. Great presentation, perhaps a slightly better choice of background music. 👍
Cheers for feedback Chris, what genre of music would you suggest please?

@@OutdoorsmanDave I quite liked the music, gave it a mystical sort of "Oblivion" feel.
Cheers, mysterious makes good stories 👍
So do you prefer short music clip then the talking to camera style, gosh that was a heavy load out.
