Thanks for this. I am enjoying watching this and noting the various railway landmarks that caught your eye. It's also interesting to see the changes between then and present day.

Yes, lots of change. It was tough deciding on a few locations in the video. Had to give up for a few. Since publishing the video, a search through my slide collection solved a few mysteries. Rather late now. Guess I should work on Part 2. Part 1 caused a bit of a stir. Rare footage. VIA operated the venture for only a short period of time.

@@shaysteamjamb7957 These are rare and valued views of this venture. I look forward to Part 2 and appreciate your work on it.
Thanks for all of this. It is such an interesting trip and I enjoy thinking back to my own 2018 trip in the same direction on the current era of Rocky Mountaineer.

As usual you get the stuff railfans want to see not all the artsy scenery shots. Thanks again

Great video! What was that train at 1:18? The Canadian? Without a Park car? Looks like part of it might have been the Skeena?

I always thought it was the Canadian. Never noticed the lack of a Park car. Can’t be the Skeena since the clip is not far out of Vancouver. Perhaps it was the previous Rocky Mountaineer tour returning to Vancouver?

@@shaysteamjamb7957 My guess is that it might be just an equipment move as it doesn't seem like a 'real' consist. I believe that cars would be sent down to Vancouver for routine maintenance/repair. Just a guess, though!
