I watched this show when I was a kid. I have distinct memories of watching it before mass on Sundays. I didn't watch it much, though because even then, I could tell that it wasn't very good. Why did I watch it then? Mostly because my dad found it annoying and watching it while he was getting dressed felt safely rebellious. Yes, I was doing something that my dad didn't want me to do, but the thing was watching a squeaky-clean, Christian show. There was also something strangely captivating about the combination of colors and shapes. My favorite character was the dancer.
There’s at least two more episodes of The Knock Knock Show. One of which has a pencil man who sings the alphabet like 2001: A Space Odyssey. Also the Belmonts dress like the Bible Fruit from ATHF to teach about Adam and Eve in the same episode. Like I’m 90% sure the Bible Fruit episode was inspired by that specific part.
PLEASE HELP ME! Ok this is your latest video so I'm hoping you'll see this. I have been looking for at least the name of a show, or part of a show, FOREVER. (I'm 44 so for at least 15 years). I'm guessing it played sometime between 1981 and 85. This is what I remember. There was a generally baby blue background, the idea of the show was using music to teach kids things. There was two characters, a dark brown haired woman, and a..... Very old, cranky, almost rude.... Gramophone. Yup, an ancient record player thing.... that talked, and was rude. Lol. She reminded me more of Lady A. from the Land of Makebelieve - but it was not the same lady. I really hope someone remembers. * Edit: so he looked like this, but brighter blue with fancy markings on him that were, I THINK, red and maybe a little yellow. auctions.specialauctionservices.com/m/lot-details/index/catalog/29/lot/13437?url=%2Fm%2Fview-auctions%2Fcatalog%2Fid%2F29
