To me the Suzuki samurai is the only vehicle that can be designed many different ways and still look good. You can leave it stock you can make a rock crawler a hot rod or a cool low rider like this one no matter what way you choose it's going to be awesome!
I used to walk past one in my neighborhood on the way to the bus stop and think whoever owns that is on a whole different level of cool. Props to you sir.

Yeah, showing off playing cassettes is jokey but if I recall anyone driving a modified Samurai Suzuki was playing CDs by then or risked losing their *Cool* credentials. Remember they were *NEW* and *FORWARD* back in the 80s and not *retro* like we think of them today.
@@80sLife Its removable because you know Suzuki drivers were too progressive to still have them installed in 1988. The cassette deck is a nod to 80s life but does not represent the Suzuki Samurai culture of the time. Still I appreciate *YOU* your work and everything in this video. Keep it strong.
Your “Slamurai” is bringing back memories. I’m remembering my 86’ Hardbody with blade rims, tiltbed, etc. I built in 87’! Nothing like the 80’s life it was the best decade!
Your channel is GREAT... Then I found out you have a mini from the 80s even better. Love the 80s and was a big fan of minitrucks and had a Mazda with 15x10 KMCS.... Good old days.

if there was a flaw, I'm saying ''if'' there was a flaw, it's the subwoofer rack that keep you from riding with all your family members on the pacific coast highway. the backseat on those are a dream to ride on.
One of my girlfriends had one of those. Used to put the top down and drive down to the beach or Castaic Lake in summer time. Fun times never to come back. Only the memories remains

Dude, this is so OG. I got a ticket for bumpin' II to None too loud passed the motorcycle cops in 1989. Then I let the Alpine play play......I almost want a mini truck now. And you have a DARE plate frame!! Our local PD built a DARE van at my buddy's shop and came to my highschool to keep us off drugs.

I worked at a Nissan/Jeep dealer in 86 when these came out. We were one of the 1st dealers to get these. You just brought back alot of memories..👍

I miss my 1992 Honda Hardbody. Damn. I remember there was a guy in High School that lifted his Samurai and put 35 inch Mickey Thompson tires on it. lol

No freaking way! That’s too funny I had a similar 1988 Suzuki Samurai in 1988 with low profile wheels and rims , and a couple subwoofers , with the chrome embellishments however, after getting my stereo system I opted for the removable hardtop instead of the canvas top because I was super paranoid of somebody slashing right through it and taking my gear. 😁

Man I have this same jeep my dad before he died was decking it out!!! He painted it turquoise and purple !!! Bruh his seats are fur just like that but turquoise I’m restoring this Suzuki as we speak !!! This is dope it’s mine now the jeep , he died when I was 11 months I’m 28 so it’s been sitting in my grandmas garage for 30 years !!!! Bro I’m motivated all over again I wish u could see mine !!! They look like first cousins !!! Same swag an all!!! I promise!!!! 😭😭

Love the Datsun grill, my friend just sold his jimny not that long ago, now he’s building a drag rotary Sami, he’s a weird kid, I love your Sami, so from my childhood, every ghetto drug dealer in Brooklyn had one, back around 91? I think, their was a yellow GEO Tracker with the loudest system you ever heard! On his spare tire carrier it “ MORE BASS THEN A CRACK HOUSE “ lol freaking back in the day!

True story, my Father’s best friends brother, baron owned a stereo shop in East New York Brooklyn back in the 80s and early 90s and if you like movies lol the movie The 75 , you’ll see ( Barons face is blacked out ) that’s the place and guy I’m talking about, Auto Sound City, he did so many Rappers cars, dug dealers and some of the loudest sound systems still to this day ever heard! Great movie by the way and you’ll hear the P.R. Drug dealer talking about not being able to see the speakers , they’re always filming something here

I had a 1987 samurai lowered on mclane wire rims and chrome on the side and bumbers and roll bar all chrome and mine was royal blue pearl but it looked like yours sweet ride

have an 1981 tercel that is sitting on 80s panther wheels 13x5.5 but I wanna drop it on some 14x 8 deep dishers , throw a head unit and EQ in it with some 8 inch speakers etc..I got in it today and it smelled just like my project car in HS when I would let it sit & get stuffy for a week or 2 then crack it open..brought back memories

Paint was done by the world famous Danny D. You can find him on IG. He's amazing, but not cheap. Running boards are almost impossible to find. I was on a major hunt for those

@@80sLife Hey man I forgot to ask what size of wheels did you go with. I can't figure what back spacing I need and there are not many choices for that center bore in terms of wheels. I like the staggered look you got. Did you need spacers or wheel adapters? I bought 1 1/2" adapters because the bolt aren't very long but if I use a 15 or 16 by 10 with adapters I feel like the wheels will break off on my first highway run lol Thanks big homie!
