Hi, everyone. I'm Mary Anne Baynton with Workplace Strategies for Mental Health. And today's tip is about watching the news. For some of us, we may have been binge watching the news, which is really not good for us. First of all, just the way that the news is, how fast it goes, and the images that it shows will definitely increase our anxiety. But we can't be uninformed.
So my advice is watch the news, make sure it's a credible source, not a source that's just sensationalizing everything, but rather a source that gives you the facts, gives you good advice. And watch it for about five minutes three times a day, and that's it. You'll get what you need if you're going to a credible source about what the prevalence is, about what you need to do, about different innovations that are being made to help us with vaccines and with treatment. But five minutes three times a day is more than enough to stay informed. So take care. Stay safe.
