What I think is so under discussed with this game is like Mario World there’s so many routes you can take. You can take various shortcuts to skip certain levels or bypass levels entirely with a cannon. It has that open-ended, almost non-linear feel to it that makes it such a joy to play. The other games are well-designed too, I just feel the magic is at its best with this edition.

Does this game also has special mushroom houses like the super mario 3 on the NES? For example, mario on the nes world 1 stage 4, if you collected all the coins, and extras(lifes)after u finish the stage, u get a white mushroom that had the Power raccoon tail that has you flying without running and stopping.( sorry for my english, it is my second language).
You have to get the small blue mushroom and beat the world boss of world 2 with it and as you leave to go to world 3 he'll see a small tunnel and go to world four, but it's not a cannon.
i mean ur right but it's more likely for a grass world to be nearer to a snowy world than a desert. I mean come on, a desert can't be right next to a snowy world

The only cannon I unlocked was the world 2 that blasts you to world 5.
World 1 and World 2 both go to World 5
