You're sincerely appreciated for your passion, and for sharing.
My wife asked me, wondering, "does he use lots of hidden equipment, and other people's assistance in order to capture all of these stunning photographs, and film footage?" So I showed her what you said to another woman's similar question. Good, old fashioned waiting with patience joyfully until you finally capture that magical moment on camera... THAT'S how he does it!
Please tell me, where is this Forest of yours?

That's sounds awesome. I'm a native New Yorker, and I live in the Southern most part of the State of New York, in the Borough of Staten Island. Way out on the Southern most part of Staten Island is a town called Charleston. We live above a Bavarian Inn/ German Restaurant called Killmeyers, built in the 1800s. Outside our Apartment is a Flat Rooftop, and we have a modest, yet Victorious rooftop container garden each Spring, Summer, and Autumn. We even have a young Maple Tree, 5 years old, from a seedling.
We love to grow fresh vegetables, and herbs.
Btw, I just recently bought a small wheel of Sheeps Milk Cheese from France.
Its a lot like The Italian grating Cheese Pecorino Romano, but slightly less salty. I use some everyday on soups, pasta, pizza, and eggs. It doesn't say what part of France it is from. 🇫🇷

I was gratified to spot a beautiful Northern Pygmy Owl last week in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. It was early dawn and I was able to observe it for a good thirty minutes while it also observed me. They are tiny, but unmistakeable. Thank you for this video--- beautifully done!

Beautiful! I found this lovely site because I was looking for more information about these little owls. I have at least one in my cedar tree and hear the song and territorial call, but don't see him/them. Yesterday I found what looks like nesting material scattered on the ground and some on the tree limbs; I wouldn't have known what it was if I hadn't watched this video, and yet it's Winter so I'm not sure what to think. I don't expect to see them, but they are precious and it's exciting, and I'm glad they are here.

Hello, thank you ! Where are you from ? I think it would be better long eared owl, pygmy owl live only in wild old forests

@@arnicadesembets Wow, thank you for a reply! I live in northern Oregon. From looking up owl calls in an effort to identify it, it sounds exactly like the northern pygmy owl. It does a series of little hooty toots, and sometimes a series of hooty toots with shorter pauses between, like double time. Its voice is higher in pitch than the long eared owl, and the bird sites have northern pygmy owl calls and photos/video documentation from the western, mostly northwestern, united states. I heard the hoots once at dusk, first a series of them, then a series of them with shorter pauses between, then a rest and the cycle repeated. I just listened and listened, transfixed. I wouldn't have even known it was an owl to begin with if it hadn't been one of the owls that sounded "hooty". I heard it again yesterday in the afternoon and was so happy it was still in the cedar tree. I'm no expert, and have never seen or heard of a pygmy owl or northern pygmy owl until a few days ago so this is all new to me and I don't wish to be offensive in any way. Your video and the poetic, spare language you use is at once peaceful and exhilarating, and help me remember life can be a mysterious treasure.
