I can say it was explicitly entertaining and wouldn’t keep a dime in my pockets before buying a reckord . It was useful buying a new song than keeping the money in the pockets.
The music does remind me of a once for all golden time experince in one´s entire life. Every thing around that time was in harmony and the life was sweet to live.
Great memories...fantastic vocals especially by Kilola. The sax and trumpet combination just perfect with Benazo Mbuta outstanding with the solo sax blast. Lipua Lipua forever loved
I was a student in Dar as Salaam University. And on our way from Kampala to Dar I made sure my Nairobi stopover included going to Cooperative building to buy these hits. And once in Dar on my record player my room was that centre of music. I don't know if you all notice the miraculous event that starts at 5:36 - 5:46 when the saxophone beckons the guitar and then the drums initiate the transition from sax to guitar. That is what makes this probably my fave song by Lipua Lipuashort of Nouvelle Generation.
Only a Screen Meditation: Today, the Lord has been teaching me, once again, how I am to approach the Sacrament of Penance: My daughter, just as you prepare in My presence, so also you make your confession before Me. The person of the priest is, for Me, only a screen. Never analyze what sort of a priest it is that I am making use of; open your soul in confession as you would to Me, and I will fill it with My light (Diary, 1725). My Prayer Response: Thank You, Lord, for teaching St. Faustina how to make her confession before You. Help me to remember that the priest is only a screen. May I, too, make my confession before You, opening my soul to You that You may fill it with Your light.
