He has very good memory . Good musician.
Great interview. Interesting history of Lipua Lipua. Fifty- plus years later and the songs are still unrivaled

Rip Nzaya
❤ one my best song with lipua lipua..matoba. I hope I get the translation ❤
Definitely a golden age of music in Africa. Make me emotional, thinking of my Dad (RIP). Thank you, Nzaya Nzayadio and Mfumu Kibangu. We need more, those of us who came of age in somewhere in the 70's ⚽
Very nice I was in form one .
This planet was a *Paradise* with colourless rivers. Now all rivers are brown....GenZ ndio hao and global warming I am yearning to quit after enjoying my days with my peers🎉

Lipua Lipua was my favourite band. The vocalists blended very beautifully. There was stiff competition from the likes of Veve, Shama Shama, Kiam, Kamale etc. Each of them had their own hits but I was loyal to Lipua Lipua...
I believe that the lead singer in Lossa and Temperature was Mbubi (Mbudi) Malanda.
Thank you Mfumu for giving our Congolese brothers a platform in Nairobi. We grew up listening to this guys and they have no idea how Kenyans appreciate them to this day. You need also to do justice to MDJ Eddy Fondo. He promoted Congolese music like no other. Chaguo lako used to be huge in East Africa. Viva to Congolese Music! The best music in the entire world.
Much apreciated sir
We simply worshipped this band; it was a religion indeed! 😀
The music has stood test of time,Nzayadio, thanks your golden voice.
very right...MDJ Eddy Fondo did justice to this music
These songs remind when I was young student at Morehouse in Atlanta in the late seventies.
I wish you asked him who was the lead singer in "Lossa" by Lipua Lipua.
Thank you Mfumu for these interviews. As a TPOK Jazz fan I appreciate your efforts.
Shukrani
@Mfumu, listening to Lipua Lipua's song Temperature Nzaya's voice is distinctively missing au?
Lipua Lipua was a phenomenonal outfit. I loved Shama Shama too. Their music was refreshingly unique. And then there was Kiam. Their rhythm guitat play rivalled that of Lipua Lipua's Vata Mombasa.
In the background were Zaiko Langa Langa and Stukas attack. Zaiko Langa Langa has become eternal.
You best música,GOD bless you.
Thanks
Mfumu,
Please note that the full history of Lipua Lipua will be incomplete without the personal stories of Mbubie, Nsayi, Tedia, Kilola, Mbaza, Benazoe, Tonninoe & DeniWade. You could have tried to extract more from Verkyz & Pepe Kalle when they were still alive. You could approach Danos & Assosa, while they live. Time may be far gone. But congratulations all the same for this work. Google & Microsoft don't bother much with African stories.
Great interview Kibangu. Kudos
THANK YOU NZAYA NZAYADIO AND RIP
Great job! I would like to know who sang on Lossa
