I admit they are relaxing to watch but it has this setting of a woman being at home, getting up at a crack of dawn serving her husband and kids. I know it is cultural and what is expected in Japan. But... I have been married 50 years and I just cannot see myself having such a division of roles with hubby going to work and me doing housework all the time.The point is that most women work outside of home and they are expected to do all the housework and child caring as well as a "perfect" woman and mother which is absooolutely wrong. My husband likes the house to be a bit like what she has, super clean and tidy. At the beginning he tried to instruct me how to do it , both of us were in full time employment, but as it is not who I am and what I wanted I resisted. Sooo... to get it he has to do it himself the way he likes it. I prefer to escape to the garden, cut the grass (still do it @ 70yo), trim the bushes, turn my compost, usually messy dirty jobs but I love it.😄

There is something peaceful & sacred in being a resourceful & loving housewife & mother. I know people hate that word “ housewife “ nowadays but I love it. Brings memories of my time with my mom till I was around 6 or 7 & she returned back to work. Those were special times, she was always so beautiful - never sloppy at all. Sometimes a couple of the other moms on the street would come over & they would sit in the living room & have coffee. Then my mom would continue chores & make dinner. But I remember especially that she would take the time to freshen up so she would look pretty for my dad. She’ll be 92 this year. 🥰
The age that she is now, I bet she always dressed up to go out, even just to town. My husband's aunt taught me a lot of things like that. I was her partner in crime so to speak as her neighbor and we would drive everywhere together. I really miss her. I want to continue the tradition of how I learned to live in a natural way from her. Like gardening, cooking from scratch, canning, etc. My husband appreciates my efforts in that direction as well.
God bless your dear mom. Wish we had more housewife moms who take their blessed role seriously. Being a housewife is a powerful thing. It has the power influence children for good and make them syrong happy human beings.
I have to be honest, everything look so peaceful, harmonious and beautiful, she do an amazing job for her family, I’m sure they are grateful, but otherwise it looks frighteningly lonely.
From my experience it's like waves, as all of life is. I mostly love all the alone time during the day to clean and organize and prepare meals as I see fit, having nobody around to micromanage. And any day with a dog isn't lonely by any means! :)

Exactly how an ideal partnership is meant to be, equal respect for the breadwinner and homemaker. Modern society makes such women feel less than their counterparts who work in an office. This is more work than any salary can compensate!

I enjoy these vids for several reasons, mostly because of the lack of clutter and the mysterious appliances. I have to say though that if my husband thinks I'm getting up at sparrow fart to cook him a 3 course lunch he can find another wife!
Now, there's a cooler way. Sleep all day while your husband is at work and work/chill at night. Breakfast becomes dinner and dinner becomes breakfast. While a little strange at first, it does work. Of course, this is only if your husband can actually provide.
Probably worth noting Korea has one of the highest marriage ages and lowest birth rates in the world... most Korean women cannot keep up with this either nor do they want to. That said for the right person it is a wonderful life choice.

I am a student full time and work part time, while my fiancee works full time, we balance the workload (me: vacuum, laundry, cooking, household maintenance, him: washing up, putting the clothes away, shopping and taking out the bins), but seeing you makes me think that we can up our game :) Hopefully in a few years I will out earn him, so he can stay home pursue his hobbies (he is also very house proud). :) I think he would admire you and how well kept your house is. :)

The food she cooks is worth 100 dollars. Who bought all the ingredients and carried them home? When she can spend 100 dollars on food for a regular day she has a maid for cleaning, a maid for laundry, a nanny to bring and take the kids to kindergarten and school. Just taking care for the dog and cooking is not enough in a house with kids. She must have a maid for doing the dishes as well.

As i have become a spouse and a mother for my own family i have realized the importance of such a role. Your routine looks a lot like mine only i start at 6am. :) the occupation of a mother is a special one and its an honor to serve the ones we love. I enjoy these vids for several reasons, mostly because of the lack of clutter and the mysterious appliances. I have to say though that if my husband thinks I'm getting up at sparrow fart to cook him a 3 course lunch he can find another wife!

Now, there's a cooler way. Sleep all day while your husband is at work and work/chill at night. Breakfast becomes dinner and dinner becomes breakfast. While a little strange at first, it does work. Of course, this is only if your husband can actually provide.
Probably worth noting Korea has one of the highest marriage ages and lowest birth rates in the world... most Korean women cannot keep up with this either nor do they want to. That said for the right person it is a wonderful life choice.

I am a student full time and work part time, while my fiancee works full time, we balance the workload (me: vacuum, laundry, cooking, household maintenance, him: washing up, putting the clothes away, shopping and taking out the bins), but seeing you makes me think that we can up our game :) Hopefully in a few years I will out earn him, so he can stay home pursue his hobbies (he is also very house proud). :) I think he would admire you and how well kept your house is. :)
