I would definitely go this route. Nothing else will get you close to this for that price. Be patient and wait for it to come back in stock. I was out of the hobby for a while. It's a great hobby to get into or back into.
Got mine Thursday uk 🇬🇧 from redcat then they sold out 😰 phew, I think they back in stock mid April might be earlier so keep checking website or Easter still click on it and it’s say notify when back in stock
I got mine Thursday not used it yet put stickers on and brought some Treal Beadlocks got 2 black ones and getting 2 blue ones when they have them back in stock and ordered accessories for it to
this looks awesome. i cant find anywhere with availability or pre orders here in the uk hopefully someone will stock it. if not maybe this will make some of the other brands reconsider their rtr. great in depth video as always
You can’t get it over hear 🇬🇧 no certificated Redcat dealers,, I got mine from Redcat themselves £492 with taxes and shipping at that time, they out of stock til April, I think I am the first to get one 🇬🇧
Agreed, only my heavily upgraded crawlers hit the 60° plus mark. For that price, I should have bought 2, and it would still be cheaper than my best rig.
@@hyperc5249 I am from Switzerland and there is no distributer here. So I will end up with a prize of round about 500$ (rig, shipping, taxes). Not a bargain anymore but for the performance and the look still completely ok.
Thanks. I dont like to goof or beat around the bush. Straight to the point. I made it. I'm a CNC programmer and machinist. I should have made the table diameter about 1 1/2 bigger.
@waynoo774 Every mod has its pros and cons. Angled skids can definitely help break over to clear rock and help the front pinion angle to the drive shaft . Con it raises the motor and center of gravity. To much angle and it will cause the motor to hit the front upper links cause a clearance issue and also make bad pinion angle to the rear drive shaft. So it really comes down to preference and the course. A jagged rock course may need more clearance. A steeper incline flat course would like a LCG. Redcat kept the flat skid but lowered the motor by 6mm, which lowered the overall center of gravity. Give and get.
Yes. Redcat put out an email on what to Loc tight. Front cvd pins and ring and pinion set screw. Added grease as well. I strip down every RTR and go through it. Then check all the screws.
I just watched a review on a full scale truck. the yt has 100k+ subscribers and been around a long time. he demolished (verbally) the truck and how even with all the pro's, there were just so many cons and so many missed opportunities. We need to do the same in our hobby; we need to be equally critical and sometimes more so when a rig misses a lot of opportunity; we should be getting better, innovation, and progression, not just the newest shiny thing that adds a fusion when original ascent could get soa and ppl added a fusion. I don't own one because I see that the cons outweigh the pros in terms of progression, value, and innovation. its just the new rig out with too much hype and not enough constructive reviews.
@@waynoo774 we should always be equally critical of everything; can't just hype something up all the time. imagine if we did that all the time with cell phones and our own cars, and we buy them all... what do you think would happen. not a question.
I brought mine hard earned money and most of the others that have one have nothing bad to say about them so not everyone can be hyping unnecessarily with the ascent fusion anyway
What a strong Truck. And looks like a beast. I am gonna put this on my christmas list lol
You won't be disappointed. I can't believe how good it is. Hopefully, it's back in stock soon.
Been thinking about a crawler. This looks like it's gonna be the one. Haven't had an RC in years and want to get into it again.

Your buddies will be green with envy. Or make that black and blue! LOL
Nice review 👍 got mine on order
@@nofreerides7033 This is the best 10th scale box stock crawler. Good choice.

I am blown away with it. Especially for $399. It's definitely going to change the game for other competitors.

@waynoo774 make that the end of May for restock now. They updated the site. These and the Ascent 18 sold like hot cakes!
Oh blimey, I know they sent out some to hobby shops in 🇺🇸 so could be some out there still
Incredible crawler, the best on the market for sure :)
Scooped one up for $319 on sale. Gotta say for a rtr this this is pretty solid. At that price you just can’t go wrong
💯 the best 1/10 Crawler RTR on the market. For $319, that is a steal.
Great review. 62° is a real number for a RTR crawler.

Nice clear review, on a side note, where did you get the turntable for the truck?
Thanks. I dont like to goof or beat around the bush. Straight to the point. I made it. I'm a CNC programmer and machinist. I should have made the table diameter about 1 1/2 bigger.
Can you do what you did to the ascent 18 skids raising them ?
No. But you don't need to. It's a flat skid already. Lines up with chassis and skids. Totally flat.
People are saying angled skids are better so just thought might be able to do something with it, thanks for your reply

Did you have to go though and lock tight anything or add grease to anything?
Yes. Redcat put out an email on what to Loc tight. Front cvd pins and ring and pinion set screw. Added grease as well. I strip down every RTR and go through it. Then check all the screws.
@@hyperc5249 alright thank you for that information, I’m debating on picking one up.

Well I think the only people who big the hype up is probably those who got theirs for free off Redcat

I have no clue what he is talking about??? Full-scale truck?
