Spoke with Debbie Smikoski regarding the Equinox 800 not holding a charge. She said I had to send my machine in (wrong!). She said it was hard to replace the battery (wrong!). Thank goodness for this video!

Where can I purchase a spare control unit? We just flooded one of our 800’s in approximately 1 foot of water. We plan to send it in for warrantee replacement, as it is only a few months old but we need a control unit while we wait for it to be returned.
@@richardholladay465 Vaseline works but silicone grease is better on O-rings. Its not oil based and wont deteriorate the rubber. But in practice you should be fine. Probably takes a hell of a long time to ruin those o-rings.
My Fivepenny worth of advice (this is not covered in the video) is that with the New Battery comes 2 sticky pads. - one is circular and goes on the outer end of the NEW battery (Peel and stick and slide it into the black end cap and the other is affixed to the side of the battery (presumably to stop the battery slopping around in the cylinder. The discarded battery will have these pads already in place to confirm to you where they go. Glad they used a lithium-ion instead of lithium-polymer battery. Lithium-polymer batteries don't like to stay fully charged for more than a few days and do not like being left below 3.7v for too long. They also have a higher risk of lighting on fire although fairly rare. The Lion batteries last longer compared to lipo as well.
I have no connection with Minelab (other than a Eqinox 600 owner) but a good battery gives you 8 hours uf use - how long do you want !! and you bay jeopardise the Warranty (3 years)
You guys need to update the equinox software...i been using the 6 inch coil for a long time , and the ID's in real world use ARE TERRIBLE... and everyone i know agree..ive been seeing semi deep (4 to 6 inch) u.s pulltabs hitting 30 on a rwgular basis..if you wanna keep conpeting with the nokta makro machine co ing out..you guys better give the 600 all the same frequency options or nobody is gonna by them after the new makro is released ..and they dont drown like the equinox either

Where are the machines that have been paid for by US customers at a price tag of $1600 each. We deserve an answer. This not only is completely rude but as for a business approach absolutely disgraceful and borderline misrepresentation of facts. You have no machines for the money you have taken from Your customers. If this is the image Your portraying I would think that any decent company would run for the hills to get away from the stigma. Get it together and get the machines out. I will wait until Friday 12/30/2022 and I will be canceling all orders and move on. I don't care what You think of what I'm saying. Someone needs to put this in perspective. You are basically screwing everyone for the back ordered products. You came out with the Manticore then could not fulfill it why? Then throw out some gizmos on the 700 and 900 to distract from the Manticore? What the hell is going on with this company? 2 days and I drop this identical narrative all over the place.
Minelab I'm glad you exist. Best detector I've ever had by far. I was nervous about how to replace the battery when it failed but this is cake.
Very useful video and removes the myth of complexity

What is in the tube?
Probably silicone - it would have been useful to have been told - I used Vaseline petroleum Jelly.
