This video was helped me to learn to make my own version of two strings tambura. In turkish and albanian is called çifteli! I was working one at my musical instrument! I am very atracted by oriental music! Next project I will try to make a Sharki.
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
In the context of the story of this baglama luthier what does “master” mean in the context of Turkey? He says his “masters were my two brothers”. Does it mean he was working for them for free in return for learning how to make instruments? Or is it usually paid? Or does it more equivalent to “teachers”?
They don't pay you a solid wage. They pay you with knowledge. However, whatever they put on the table, a master would share it with you. For an instance if you need pocket money you can only ask from your master. if you are hungry your master shares his food and water with you etc. In the end that bond lasts for generations and so on.
😊 Selam kolay gelsin yüreğine sağlık babam 🙏
