Thank you for the video. The Southern end of Kata beach does look nice. We'll be staying at the Chanalai Garden Resort late January, I think it's nearby, looking forward to it.
How expensive is Kata Beach and Phuket accommodation right now in the holiday high season? Bloody expensive! Accomodation can be had for knockdown prices after 15 April 2025. 🏝️ 🚤 🇹🇭
Beautiful beach! Wow! I can’t believe the prices of the hotels. That’s crazy expensive! It’s like getting a room in Huntington Beach California. @Travelingfrogman so are you hopping between Cambodia and Thailand, right now? Yes! What an amazing vibe you’re in. I envy you! 😂 👍🏻
This is high season, so prices are very elevated, prices are not like this all year round, they will taper off around April. Yes, I stopped by Phuket before doing some heading to the Philippines 🇵🇭 . But will be returning to beautiful Cambodia 🇰🇭 in very near future.
There was a room furnishings inventory list with prices for each item in all 3 hotels we stayed at, is that just typical for Thai hotels in general? Used to seeing notes about missing "souvenir towel" fees but not window curtains, lamps, etc. Stayed at Kata Palm 28nov-2dec and occupancy seemed low, probably won't be that way for long, eh? Thanks for the sharing and the trip down short-term memory lane!
Yes, what I have noticed most Thai hotels are very strict on room inventory items, but I have only seen this here, not so much in other places I have been. I spent good amount of time traveling Cambodia and no such room inventory existed. Kata Palm is nice hotel, I noticed occupancy has really increased and it's not even peak high season yet.
April - June are actually very good months you only get some intermittent rain, but nice most time, heavy rain is September into late October. Food wise just be cautious on to much street food, which is hard to do in my case.
@henrywarden3484 Not really sure where these vendors get this Salmon, it maybe farmed locally up north, though, but I have to admit it does taste very good.
Please, record your videos on 4K 60fps HDR as this has been the prevailing production practice for many years now. 4K TVs were first released in 2012. Don’t believe the morons who say 1080p is ‘good enough’, as *4* times the pixel count does make a dramatic difference with the video presentation. Everything is sharper, more detailed and looks more lifelike.
Phuket Thailand. Lots of foreigners crowded this season. Gearing up for new year celebration also looks like. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Phuket is just the beginning of the high season , lots of people.
Thank you for the video.

Awesome! Kata beach is absolutely beautiful! Safe travels 🙏
It looks busy, I'm sure that has pushed prices up. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching my video 🌟
Thanks for video. Coming over 19th first time 😎
Absolutely Love Phuket Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤️ it has its way of bringing us back more and more.

Yes, this is high season as made this video, like you say, prices won't drop until April 2025

@ So how many days do you stay in one country? How long have you been traveling now since you left the US?
@meganseang3745 Not really any set time, I like to explore a lot, so some stays may be longer. I am currently here in Manila Philippines 🇵🇭

We were there, we booked early in November ,and managed to pay less but non refundable . It was nice time to travel there in the year😊
November is a great time in Phuket . That's the key, if you book early you get very good rates, but if you book at the present, very expensive.
That is a beautiful beach, I would be one of the people sitting under the trees people watching. Wow, they did an amazing job fixing the slide area.
Kata Beach is absolutely stunning. Tourism is there bread and butter so things get fixed fast here! 😎🏖️
สวัสดี🙏 🌴😊 🥭
Thank you very much 🇹🇭❤️
My how it is ruined now
I remember when it was just a handful of beds in front of Club Med and a few ladies selling cold drinks from their coolers lol
Not anymore, at least not during the high season. It's pretty congested now, but once high season ends, it really does lighten up.
When you say 350 per night are you talking of USD or thai baht?
That is (USD), not Thai Baht.
Your saying costs for hotels etc .350 ? Is that bhat or what?
That is in (USD).
Beyond kata 1 night was 202 euros????? 6th December
Yes, Beyond Kata (South Kata beach) is very pricy if you were to book now.
AUD $330 is a lot for an ordinary hotel room indeed. The Beyond Group has to make their profits somehow. 💵 💵 💵
The high season prices, but they will drop considerably around April. They always do.
At least your doing something unlike a certain chap who says hes from norwich..
Thank you very much 😊 I am from San Diego California, I come back to Phuket very frequently.
1st world prices in a 3rd world country extremely expensive
This time of year it's very expensive, but prices will drop April
@ who would go to Phuket in April unless you want gastro and love rain

@ been there done that in June even the rats are sick and there’s plenty of them
Unaffordable for budget travellers
The salmon is NOT a wild salmon , it is farm raised. Not same taste. It's not good and expensive and not fresh.
Yes, much agree! Although Thai food vendors will often advertise this way, although not really true, very much overpriced.
Fresh = "Fairly recently thawed"? Aren't all Salmon cold-water fish?
@henrywarden3484 Not really sure where these vendors get this Salmon, it maybe farmed locally up north, though, but I have to admit it does taste very good.
Wow you don’t see a lot of Chinese people there. Watch when the Chinese are there 😂It’s going to be another Sihanoukville,Cambodia
This is just the beginning of peak high season. Over the next 2 - 3 months it will be very busy.

Thank you very much for the camera tip. I will give this a try. I truly appreciate your comments!
