Hey Brent, any chance of comparing oem cats on a boosted set up vs Kooks Green cats? Seems the oem cats burn up quicker when pushing more exhaust thru them than oem specs. Is that true for Kooks green cats? Love your vids!
Kooks have a couple cat options and if you look at the Kooks website they rate them for different power levels. I can't say if one burns up quicker at high horsepower. I can't really compare OEM vs Kooks as far as power because all the Kooks cats we use we installed long tubes at the same time so not a fair comparison.
Those were just the headers I had around. I can't say if 2" make more or not I have not tested them both on the same car plus I couldn't really do a good comparison the same day for data. When you dyno a car on 2 different days the number normally change a little so it would be hard to tell.

So the whipple tune will work with headers. They will not tell you that but it does. We do it all the time as well as with the Roush tune. Not sure on your comment about a tune being released but as of now Whipple and Roush have tunes for Dark Horse and GT and yes the normal tune will work with headers.
You mean a stock bottom end boosted 3v. Rods and pistons and you can make what this coyote is making. Ppl act like you gotta dump 20k into a 3v to have it able to make some power lol. Not true. Coyotes been doing this for like 10 years they been coasting and not really improving it much if any especially the s650. A 2015 gen 2 coyote can make as much power as these s650s do when they're boosted. It's kind of crazy honestly. Ppl have lowered the bar the last few years and keep having amnesia about mustangs ppl try to pretend like the s650 is doing something special that hasn't been done for the last 10 years lol. Even if it wasn't locked down it wouldn't be much improvement but the fact it is not only make it no better than a gen 2 coyote potential wise but imo it isn't as good as a gen 2 potential wise. Ppl need to wake up and stop patting Ford on the back for basically coasting lol. Now that there's no competition it's gotten much worse. Now they're gonna make 10 different variants of the mustang including 4 door ones just a few years after getting rid of all their sedans because they "don't sell." This is a perfect example of how Ford has lost its way and it breaks my heart being a life long Ford fan. They're ruining the brand and watering down the mustang name.
Also do you realize how much tech these things benefit from that the 3v doesn't have? It's kind of insane honestly. The 3v has less rpm and way less compression. Technology has improved their ability to put better factory rods in the coyotes. If the 3v was around now it would have rods like that too.

So adding a $10,000 supercharger and getting almost 750 rear wheel horsepower American V8 is a step back notice how Dodge is done Camaros done in the mustang is continuing to put out bad ass hot rods can you give out derogatory comments it's your prerogative but it doesn't make sense
And I'm a mustang owner seven times over I've got a 21 roush stage 3 boosted 750 to the crank great Hanley car I've destroyed hellcats c8 M5 super sports other mustangs I love them I'll be looking at the next Cobra coming out pretty hard I bet you don't own a mustang once again it's your prerogative but like I say I'm on my 7th one

Good video. Why 1 7/8” headers instead of 2” headers? Thinking of going with 2” headers for darkhorse with stage 2 whipple and AWE exhaust.
