- Whether you call it the duo, New Zealand style, hedged bet or klink & dink, hanging a nymph of of a dry fly is an absolutely deadly method at times. The addition of a tippet ring near the bend of the dry, makes for a nice connection and you never need to worry about the nymph slipping of the hook. It’s was very useful to see that tippet ring and how you tied it in place . A beautifully tied fly. Thank you for sharing
@@daverichards6557 thank you
It works incredibly well. Greetings from the Victorian Alps in Australia 🙏👍🎣
They're great right!
Quality 😎
Can you use airflo gel spun backing or would it be to thick ?
I’ve never seen a dry fly tied for this specific use. It’s a cool idea though. I’ll have to give it a try! Thanks!
It's handy have them in the box. And no worries about the dropper leg slipping off
Very nice fly Martyn. Can you recommend a book at all, that explains in detail to a novice, the when/where to use this style (and others like 'washing line' etc) of fishing ? Thanks.
Hi Danny
Dynamic Nymphing goes into some detail about duo/dry dropper, you can get it here amzn.to/3oYFosc
Washing line etc. I'm not sure about a book, but there's probably an article in Total Fly Fisher every other month.
You're the second person in as many days to ask about books so I'm going to start doing book recommendation videos too.
Thanks very much Martyn. I'm still very new to all of this. There wasn't any (fly) fishing in Clydebank when I was a boy - only the goldfish rush in the Clyde canal in the mid 60's........... ;)
Hi Martyn, love the videos, cheers. Nice tip to use braid to attach the tippet ring too.
What super glue are you using. The loctite with brush is 4 squid a bottle and the one you have looks like a decent size bottle with a good brush.
it's the cheap stuff from the 100 yen shop here in Japan. (like the pound shop)
you probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost the login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Khalid Alonso Instablaster :)
@Micah Jameson I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Micah Jameson It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
