- Climbing Snowdon is the BEST hike I've ever done in the UK. Incredible views the entire way. What a beautiful day! This is my experience :)

I stayed at YHA Snowdonia Pen-Y-Pass which is THE place to stay if you are going to climb Snowdon, it is literally right next to the start point of the hike so couldn't be more convenient for an early start!

I just did Snowden, we left from penny pass car park, walked in about halk an hour in on the lower route to the lakes and camped there by that bridge kinda thing at 9 min, little pop up tent so easy, and left for the top in the morning. Then went and camped near Tryfan, pop up tent is so easy to take down and move campsites when you drive past one you like lol and sleeping under the stars etc. And you can wild camp pretty much anywhere, free lol

Do it! Incredible climb up to the top. I recommend taking the miner route then taking the ranger route coming back down. 👍🏼

Hey Christianne :) this was awesome seeing such a great travel vlog from North Wales! I live on the doorstep and feel super lucky to have it right here but I swear nobody seems to realise just how beautiful it is...it's got so much potential! Hiking Snowdon is definitely my favourite walk too. The views from the top are always worth it - glad to see you got some decent weather so you could actually see everything from the summit haha. Love what you're doing - keep it up!

nice hike and video! I lived in UK for 2 years and never heard of Snowdon...I should have gotten around more! Also, just got a Mavic Air and I couldn't help think what great shots I could get there! It's a great drone if you're ever in the market again for one...

I'm looking at taking on snowdon and Ben Nevis, thank you for making this video it gave me a good idea of what's needed and what in store on the route. Thanks for putting the time to make this video, I have no one interested in doing this is there groups that meet to tackle the peaks?? I don't fancy doing this for the first time solo lol.

Ahh omg like you said you were SO lucky with the weather! I went 2 months ago and it was a torrential blizzard at the top. We were ten mins from the top and there was no chance we could complete it! Was gutting! x

Bit windy. I think it depends on the day but it’s not freeezing
We were just there, video will be online tomorrow and it was super warm up there. Although the views were pretty poor at the top, it was so hot.
When I went (around this time last year) is was extremely windy. A 16 y/o boy had to help me get down bc I just couldn’t move bc of the wind 😂💀

Backpacking Bananas not really to be honest! but we picked the wrong day to hike ; it was scorching sun and heat 😂😂😂 it's nice to explore what's closer to home sometimes isn't it ? this summer I am going to the Isle of Skye and after watching your road trip series I am hoping to drive the jurassic coast to durdle door as wel 😀😀 x

Really nice video and a beautiful place! :) One of the best experiences you can have is trekking in breathtaking areas. i just started my video series in the nepali himalayas i spent a mounth in :) Keep it up and stay the way you are! :)

Funny story
When I climbed snowdon it was very bad weather and we couldn’t see off the edge. My dad had originally planned to take the train back down but it was closed due to lightning. My sister and cousin, trying to be responsible, decided to walk back down on their own (they were both 14) and my dad had a mini panic attack because he thought that they made the wrong, long path when they didn’t so my dad killed his feet for no reason. He was not happy whrn we got back.
What's the name of the path you went on?
When I went the cafe was closed and due to weather conditions the train that you can get to take you back down to the bottom of the mountain was closed too :(

Backpacking Bananas usually are made of aluminum so when empty, not that much and as much heavy when full, as far as I know

Hi, what route did you take? There are several from Pen-y-pass....
appears that she took the Miners path up and the Pyg down. I would definitely recommend this route and is usually the route i take.

I think it took us about 8 hours in total! We took our time and stopped a lot though so it can definitely be done faster but generally it’s a whole day event ☺️

Don't be terrified! It's a great hike 😍 just wear your comfiest walking shoes and don't forget to bring lots of layers, waterproofs and snacks 😊

@@LostInDistance yeah it does gripe at me a little, no mountain summit should be a tourist trap but i guess it's nice for the elderly to get to visit tbf... i think it should just be for them or anyone who's incapable though... other people should have to earn it haha!

Yes it is possible! There is a route which is purely a foot walking track the whole way!

How long does it take to climb to the top?
lee wan it depends on the route you chose (Crib goch, miners track etc etc) and how fast/slow you walk. // I’m a average speed walker and I managed to get to the top in 4 hours and back down (by walk) in 1 1/2 hours :)
lee wan dont listen to that other person they know nothing about climbing my job is a guide taking people up the matterhorn for an average walker if you choose the llanberis path it takes 4hours up and 3to4 hours down 👍🏻

Not trying to sound rude or anything, but Mount Snowden has different routes & tracks for people with different abilities. That’s why they have an easier route and a difficult route. I took the beginners route So it was a lot easier, hence why it only took me two hours to get down, and four hours to get up

how long does it take to hike ?
Depends on which path and level of fitness, I've walked with people and took 3 hours, hit it hard by myself and did the pyg track in 1h 20m
