- This was our first day in Lagoa da Conceição, one of the most popular areas on the island of Florianópolis, Brazil. Florianópolis is the capital of Santa Catarina, a southern state of Brazil, and is home to over 40 incredible beaches.
During the winter Florianópolis can get really cold but in the summer months it's amazing, attracting a large amount of tourism on the island. If it's good cafés and restaurants, quirky shops and buzzing nightlife you're looking for, Lagoa da Conceição is for you.
We stayed 15 minutes walk away from the town centre at a lakeside hotel called Hotel Saint Germain. There are guesthouses and pousadas in town as well.

I'd love to visit Florianopolis. Looks like the antidote to urban Brazil. Crazy about the near death experiences in such a peaceful place!
Florianópolis is pretty beautiful place, as the others places in southern Brazil. It's very different what the people think about Brazil, not the typical stereotypy. I'm very happy you liked that :)
It looks so beautiful and peaceful out there. The cow experience is crazy!
Such a gorgeous setting on the lake..random cow moment certainly added some humor to the video, it's not every day that you are shooting videos and you have a cow charging at you :)
How random was the cow. That was such a cute moment. That acai looked amazing by the way!
OMG the cow! Was she or the other cow pregnant that you could tell? She might have been getting protective because of that. Bless. :)
And omg, that acai!!! And lol, as a fellow Aussie I feel your pain about looking for coffee that's like how it is at home. It's very hard to find. haha
Well that doesn't happen every day, being charged by a cow! Good coffee to the rescue.
