และทำให้เธอหายวับไปพร้อมกับสมุดข่อยโบราณ ย้อนเวลากลับไปอยู่ที่อยุธยาสมัยก่อนเมื่อ 300 ปีที่ผ่านมา
พอเธอตื่นขึ้นมาก็พบกับชายหนุ่มรูปงามชื่อ "หมื่นมหาฤทธิ์" เป็นลูกชายฝาแฝดคนเล็กของ "ออกญาวิสูตรสาคร"
(พ่อ) และ "เกศสุรางค์" (แม่)
ทั้ง 2 คนต่างจะแย่งสมุดข่อยโบราณ เพราะมันคือ "คัมภีร์กฤษณะกาลี" ที่พ่อของเขาเคยฝังดินเอาไว้นานแล้ว
และเป็นสมบัติล้ำค่าของตระกูลเขา ส่วนฝ่ายหญิง (ุพุดตาน) ก็เชื่อว่าสมุดข่อยโบราณนี้จะเป็นประตูพาเธอ
กลับไปสู่บ้านที่กรุงเทพฯ (ในปัจจุบัน) เช่นกัน
แต่ที่น่าแปลกใจเพราะหญิงสาว (พุดตาน) มีใบหน้าคล้ายกับแม่ของเขา (เกศสุรางค์) นั่นเอง ดังนั้นเรื่องราว
ในละครจึงทำให้หญิงสาวต้องอยู่ในสถานที่ในอดีตของอยุธยา ในทางประวัติศาสตร์ชาติไทย และได้เห็น
การเปลี่ยนแปลงของชาติบ้านเมือง (สยาม) ในอดีตกาล
รวมถึงทำให้ทั้ง 2 คน ได้มาพบเจอกัน และรู้สึกผูกพันกันอย่างไม่ทราบสาเหตุ หรือจะเป็นพรหมลิขิตที่ทำให้
