My fang-fortresses have been getting blasted by acid scorpions lately, perhaps overload will give me the dps I need to punch through that. Hard choice to make what techs to take.
What do you think about giving up the anti air missiles? just too convenient vs phoenix? Fangs will usually deal with wasps after all
You can take off AA if you want, but I simply think it is too strong of a counter to most air units. Fangs can sometimes be enough, but they won't take out leveled wasps and phoenixes fast.
The comp is strong, but what to learn from this... scorps do work somewhat, but acid is a must. You won, but it was close and I still believe fang generation is gazillion times better that overload. Loosing 20 range makes it so easy for melters to win the range battle Even with multi melter (normally a dead sentence against ranged forts).
Overload actually does really well into melters if you play aggro. It gives you so much damage and pushing power that you can overwhelm melters if played right. Just need some chaff to prevent direct lock-ons.

The last round I definitely won thanks to the javelin. The same can be said for the oil, fire and acid I had to deal with however in the rounds prior. Spells are incredibly strong in the game at the moment, and they will often give one player a massive advantage in a given round.
