  • Time has finally come. I have to get back to Norway after almost two years on the road. And I cross back in the same place along the Trans Euro trail as I did when I started the trip.
But first I say goodbye to Dennis from Rally.nor podcast and meet a norwegian motorcycle legend from BackcountyMC.no

Ken' the mirrors are called 'Double Take Mirrors'. Sfunny the last leg of a tour allways goes quick, nomatter how slow you think you are doing it.
But hey, you'll be with Marion again🤗.
PS the last 10kms are notorally the most dangerous, Ride Safe freind.

It takes someone, with a great deal of stamina, and a bucket load of integrity, to do the things you do. I pray, this truly is, a payday, for your team, but as you all know, corruption is like a cancer, and will need to be cut out. Only then, can teams like yours, truly rest.

Coming to an end of a long trip is a buzzkill. I'm glad you turned around and did the TET crossing - seems like a proper so long to the trip.
Thanks for the entertainment and looking forward to new adventures!

Full circle or closure is important.
When I left home at 18 my mum took a picture of me setting off on my bike ,loaded up.32 years later I rode out of the gates at work, loaded up, retired and have a picture of that. 32 year full circle. Both pictures now next to each other in my office. Start and finish.
Ride safe, Beanster, more adventure to come.

Yeah it was a good way of getting closure.
Send me those pictures? 😂 I'm curious what they look like 😅

In 2018 i passed this bordercrossing in a campervan, coming from Eda glasbruk towards Kongsvinger.
So, you are in Lillestrom by now, and then you have this last chapter heading for Trondheim.
Stay safe and keep the rubber on the right side, greetings from Amsterdam.

Been following you a very long time, like since the channel began. You have had mighty highs and really horrible lows and there were times was afraid you would not be able to bounce back. Glad you did and did the trip you started to all those years ago. Next time I am over there on my bike, will look you up. Keep riding my friend and try to learn a bit about some of those cultures you kept getting cofounded about that most of us were aware of! Peace!
and Teslas pay zero gas tax and rip off every road user out there and get absolutely lousy fuel economy, but since the pollution is at the power plant...but i digress...

Thank you so much for coming along on my journey.
Yeah these last few years have been a rollercoaster 😅
It didn't go exactly according to plan, but it has turned out to be an amazing adventure that I could never have foreseen.
I have learned so much about so many things. Including myself.
Yeah I know I can sound ignorant a lot of times. I am very easily confused about things I don't understand. So all those stupid questions comes from a genuine want to understand it properly. And by asking the dumb and some times obvious questions I get a much deeper understanding of things.
Yeah Electric cars alos pollute. But I think they are the stepping stone to new and more green battery production.

I'm sure that going back into Norge was bittersweet. When you crossed the border leaving, you are starting a big adventure. When you crossed back, you were ending it. I get it, I would probably feel a bit strange, too.

Yeah I had a lot of things going through my head at that moment 😅 But crossing in the same place gave me kind of a closure.

Hallo Kenneth.. took me a while to catch up with your videos, and I'm finally now watching this episode where you return to Norway. I get that it's a sad/weird feeling going back home, but know that you are an inspiration to me and many others here, I'm sure. People who would love to travel europe on their bike. I am living in Lebanon now, if you know anything about this tiny country on the Mediterranean. Just being born here means I can barely travel anywhere without a visa, so traveling around European countries on a bike is quite difficult. So please consider yourself lucky to be able to take the trip you just did and count your blessings, even if it means going back home to work and make some money for a few months for the next trip. Even making money here isn't easy with the current economic crisis. I was able to visit Norway a few years back, and I fell in love with the country, so to me, it's kind of funny when I see you getting bummed about going back to Norway😂, when I can only hope that one day I will be able to move and work there, and perhaps take a ride with you somewhere. It's all about perspective, i guess😂.
Wish you all the best, and consider that you have a friend and a place to stay if you ever travel in this direction. ✌️

    • @RidetheBean
      @RidetheBean  3 місяці тому

      Thank you 😊
Yeah that is very true. It is all about perspective.
That is something I’ve really gotten to see and feel on this trip.
I know how privileged I am to be able to do what I have done. I am incredibly grateful for that, and I know how lucky I am to have been born where I was born.
You always KNOW about the struggles of the world, but unless you actually travel and see it you don’t really understand.
I do love lots of things about Norway. What bums me out is that it is “home”. I don’t want to go home. I want to keep moving constantly.
And getting “home” only means the end of an experience.
If you ever get back here I’d love to go for a ride and a coffee 😛
I would also love to come to Lebanon. I wanted to travel to Egypt trough Lebanon and Israel, but because of dumb superstitions they close the borders, and now I guess it is even worse than it was.
I wish you also could travel freely. It is completely arbitrary that just because you are born here or there you can’t travel the same way…
