Ah, all the wire work, stop motion, replace doll. They work so much better than some action cgi in nowadays kamen rider. Plus all the fighting style. Never failed to amazed me.

I’ve always loved the practical effects in older movies (like Godzilla and Indiana Jones), and I haven’t seen the ZO movie but this made me wanna watch it, 100%
It's also the texture of film and resolution. Nowdays super clean digital high res video make all the little imperfections stand out super hard. Not just the suits but also sets, I noticed with the lastest seasons of power rangers too. The sets look way to fake compared to stuff like the original zordon command center even tho that command center wasn't super detailed either. These really small details really affect stuff like toku hardcore.
Also good light direction, you have no idea how a lil bit of contrast can enrich a scene. Very few films nowdays seem to get it right so they can look really flat.
This is what KAMEN RIDER should be.. A little bit dark and caters both children and young at heart.. Just like Marvel and DC, not only for children but also for adult ❤️❤️

Why I prefer the older riders to 2nd phase heisei and showa with them becoming gods and everything kr isn't what it used to be at least sentai is going back to basic being extremely goofy yet serious is what I love about the series.
As much as I love ZO and J, I would think the show would've died out long ago if it didn't adapt to the times, which it's trying to do. Admirable effort, some hits some misses, but either way, we enjoy what we do enjoy.
I hope someday we get a true return to form like this. Honestly after some contemplation, Black Sun was unfocused and all over the place with it's story and themes that it's kinda a letdown so i can't really say it's the return to form we deseve.

Dorass is such a cool design for a rival to the mc, he kinda looks like a Riderified Terminator or Shin but cooler
