Great video, Bro! I appreciate your review and opinion on this controller. Been waiting on a controller like this since the Rane One launched with no onboard Fx. The Rev 7 sparked my interest next, but I decided to wait to see if Rane would answer and improve the R-One, but the Rane 4 came next and didn't check all my boxes. I currently have the Rane 12s & 70 mixer, so I'm excited about this one! Thanks again, Bro!
Great review, would love one of these units for house parties…however i have been considering the rane 12’s to go with my atrak (currently using regular turntables and serato) but you mention the wobble when pitch bending on the platters, are they really that bad? If so i may go with Phase instead
How you like it compared to rev7? I didn’t remove the jogs felt tok flimsy and airy on the rev7. Thoughts? Also how you like adjusting to not being in battle mode?
They are very similar but I always have preferred the metal build on Rane gear over a lot of Pioneer gear. As far as the pitch adjustment positioning, I play a lot on cdjs nowadays so I'm used to the pitch being on the side.
I can confirm its 28lbs and honestly I'm not sure what setup I'd like better, but if I had to take gear to my gig... I might prefer this since its less weight and faster setup.
Nice controller, but I personally don’t need a 4 channel spinning platter controller and I’m not a huge fan of the buttons located below the platter. I’ll stick with my Rev7 for now.
CRAPRATO is not the only software to work on this. not all djs are sheep and fall for the searto played out hype..dont title of the video (nest serato controller) serato is not the onlu software on planet earth SMDH
@RaneDJ make a 1272 Performer! I'll GLADLY PAY $4,000! But it has to have a multi-touch 10" display, wifi, Stems w/ fx, 4 channel ins in which fx can be applied, music aggregate streaming, Bluetooth, SSD hard drive slot, Ableton Link, Booth & Zone outs, etc. @denon_dj take notes!
YESSSS! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
@@PDot Just picked one up today!
This is getting confusing... We need some direct comparison/reviews between this the Rane 4, Rev 7...

Thank you for watching!
Great video, thank you!

Still rockin on my NS7iii Motorised Platters
That's still an awesome piece!
WHOA!!! You got it!!!
Yes!
Oh yeah dope! I have two of my friends just ordered there’s and they want to know if I’m going to order one aaaaahhhhh lol let’s see.

If you get the Rane 12 mk2s there is ZERO of that wobble if you connect them via RCA instead of USB.
@@PDot ah ok good to know, thank you
I had no idea you are a Egyptian lover Fan Damn I almost own every 12 inch single he ever made from the 80’s and 90,s the guy is a legion
Growing up in LA, Egyptian Lover is a STAPLE!
Hey Pdot. Is it possible to assign a different FX to each deck
From what I’ve seen, no.
How you like it compared to rev7? I didn’t remove the jogs felt tok flimsy and airy on the rev7. Thoughts? Also how you like adjusting to not being in battle mode?

Can you turn off the platters from spinning and just use like regular cdjs
Yes but only to pitch the song forward and backward (like vinyl off)
Mine arrive tomorrow
Congrats!
How much ? Do you need expansion pack to play dvs or phase on turntables?
I believe retail is $2000 USD and yes you'd need the expasion pack to use turntables with it.
Oooo 😮🙌🏼
Yessir!
What the weight of it also do you prefer it more than Rane 72 with Denonsc6000m ?
28 pounds I’m told by Cleveland Terry
I can confirm its 28lbs and honestly I'm not sure what setup I'd like better, but if I had to take gear to my gig... I might prefer this since its less weight and faster setup.
ive been a RANE user for 20 years.. MP2016a, rane 1, rane 4, and soon to be rane performer 😆... how much are they going for?
Retail is $2000 USD
@@PDot that’s a fair price.
Not if you live in Canada it's like $2500 😢😢
Wow
Nice controller, but I personally don’t need a 4 channel spinning platter controller and I’m not a huge fan of the buttons located below the platter. I’ll stick with my Rev7 for now.
The Rev7 is also a beast!
can you mix and scratch without the platters spinning
You can scratch with the platter stopped (just like turntables) but the platters do need to be spinning when you hit play.
So we’re shitting on the Rev 7 now ? Aight.
Hmmm... at what part did I shit on the Rev 7? All I did was state my experiences with both pieces of gear and my preferences.
wish it was a standalone unit
That would be KILLER!
This is the new NS7...
It's a worthy successor to the NS7!
None of these controllers that have come out in the last few years seem to be that much better than the NS7iii.
That’s an interesting take when the NS7 never had hardware effects
CRAPRATO is not the only software to work on this. not all djs are sheep and fall for the searto played out hype..dont title of the video (nest serato controller) serato is not the onlu software on planet earth SMDH
