I can't believe they actually made Bombay jeyashree madam to act, actually sing in this movie. This shows how the script is being taken seriously by the director. An excellent making. SARVAM THAALAMAYAM.
Not just her but a lot of carnatic talent and commercial talent was supporting this movie. This was a genuine effort to make ppl love mridangam.

To all musical experts here who are saying that ARR is not related to this song... learn.. there is additional BGM by ARR which is not in this version of video. Go and here that version. That's some additional magic.

All i am saying is that the original composer should not be forgotten in the zeal of appreciating current music directors, singers. I hold my view it is always the same makelara ....she has sung it very neatly. U can listen to more concerts, then u will appreciate many more singers, songs...namaste! Don't no about film but in this song the mridangam was played by Vydhanatha and not by gvp
In the movie, Master DA Srinivas played Mridangam for all portions enacted by GV, except for this song... Sumesh is a great Mrudangam player... he played and enacted in the last Jugalbandhi...
