@@Ljungbacken7181 a thumb is what would have got the job done in half the time. I'm not saying that tilt rotators don't have their place, it's just that in 90% of the cases they're not necessary. So much extra weight they reduce the lift capacity and they reduce breakout. Then you need to drag around a grapple just to be able to lift anything of significance. I have 3 regular excavators and 1 spider. The regular excavators all have thumbs and the spider doesn't. With the spider I constantly miss not having one.

Because a tiltrotor outweighs a thumb 10 folds. How often do you have to pick up boulders and trees??
