Bill's one of the unsung heroes of the industry.
I love how Sienkiewicz's right hand still has paint on it, like he just stopped working on his art to give the interview and will get back to painting the minute he's done talking.
As a kid of the early 1980s his art confused me. Now he is in my top 5 Mount Rushmore.....thank you Bill
Love Love Love Bill Sienkiewicz! Way ahead of his time!!!!!!! A true Master Artist!!!
Love his art in Elektra:Assassin and I do love how passionate he feels about the character. I’m also glad he didn’t watch the movie (but I will say I love Jennifer Garner as Elektra)
Totally agree. “Elektra: Assassin” IS the definitive expression of that character and the testament to the skill, ingenuity and raw talent of Bill Sienkiewicz. Elektra: Assassin has indeed stood the test of time…since 1986! No less…without a drowning of cgi.
When I first saw Sien's art I hated it. Hated hated hated it. Then I started loving it. Stray Toasters!
Thank you CBR Interviews!
I love how passionate Bill is about Elektra! Great interview!
He's sooo f'n great. I was so blown away by every single thing he produced. He is one of the titans, Kirby, Bescuma, sooo great.
Good interview. Needs update to know Bill's thoughts on Elodie Yung's version of Elektra
C'mon guys. How could you not mention Mike Del Mundo's amazing work on Elektra! Might be the closest an artist has ever gotten Elektra to Sienkiewicz level. Some of his panels were breath taking. Good interview though.
Agree, I have seen his work and he is very good. Bill's is #1 though. Then the let down of writers after Frank Miller. Bill and Frank need to get back together as Frank has went off the rails.
"probably best" 🤣
Our eyes still burn from seeing Jennifer destroy that character. And not to poopoo on her alone, that whole movie was a train wreck.
I must say, the most clever thing in that movie was how they had Daredevil sleep. Very clever.
yeah Elektra sucked...big time..
Have you read Elektra: Assasin?
