My father died when I was 6, so watching DBZ I always identified with Gohan. His fight with Cell always hits me with those emotions. He overcomes the same challenge I've felt almost my entire life. I strive to be like Gohan in my own life. And what is art if it doesn't make you feel something? Grief, tragedy, resolve, rage, hope, all wrapped up in a single fight. I think this song does Gohan justice, so thank you for this.

Dude, I had CHILLS from listening to this song, Perfectly captured the resolve of Gohan during the Cell saga. This makes me want to rewatch the Cell Games, definitely adding this straight to my Playlist, awesome song and an amazing guitar solo to go with it

These lyrics hit me hard, I always loved gohan when I was younger and always loved how it related with what I was going through, looking up to my dad as my only real hero. I was never alone with him there. Same energy goes for Jesus thru him you are never alone

@@hyndenburg2619 Ayo! In all honesty that might be exactly why he stuck with this being specifically a Teen Gohan song, due to the potential for both Adult and Future Gohan songs. I can see a Future Gohan song having a theme akin to his Jiraiya song, but the Adult Gohan I'm not quite sure about. I
t would be neat if he has a line in them make reference to the Teen song, like what he did in his second Ban song with Zach B. ending his bit with "Can't die anyway". The Future Gohan song could model it like he's saying it to Trunks, akin to Jiraiya speaking to Naruto.

Gohan never really wanted to become a savior or a hero, but he had to become one in order to save his family and the world, like multiple times lol. Compared to Goku, who basically cares about training and fighting more than anything else in existence, even Vegeta is a more responsible father lmfao. While Gohan kinda suffers from the Superman Syndrome, where he has the power of a god, but just wants to be an ordinary person, taking care of his wife and daughter in peace.

Gohan may not be my favorite Dragon Ball character but he is the perfect hero. A hero rises when it seems that all hope is lost and overcomes his greatest fears, this is why Gohan is the best example of a super hero. He had fears and wasn't the strongest at one point and he proved that in the Cell Games saga. This song reflects that perfectly

I've mentioned before how great his songs usually hit in certain regards, like the Goku and Saitama songs being blood-pumpers, and the Jiraiya, Iroh, and Toph songs being hella inspirational; but *hot* _damn_ does this one perfectly balance both of those as an inspirational blood-pumping banger of a track!

Hell you know what, can we appreciate the soundscape? Not entirely sure what was intended but on the hundredth re-listen I listened to the 'position' of things in the mix and the voice is the most central and that's beautiful, really letting the core emotion and purpose of the song flow through the listener as the instruments happen to you as if you were the one performing, letting you feel the lyrics in a way that musically means something more than just a track produced - actually feeling like they are words that you've forgotten more than a song you're listening to.
Love your utilization of the feel of Goku never being there but always being a part of him. As it states in the movie there's one thing you forgot I'm my Father's son.

I can see this as a motivational song for not just DBZ, but for people suffering from mental illness. Broken down, hurting, but everyone else is expecting you to cheer them up, to pull them out from whatever hell they're going through.
