Even slow tapering can cause akathesia many months after the medication is finished.

If you use faith, spirituality, exercise, healthy lifestyle, meditation and psychotherapy instead of poison you might feel better.

Tapering doesn't work for me... I have abruptly discontinued tramadol use for 3 times in my life and I dealt with my withdrawal pain and it was over. Anytime I get dependent I prepare my mind for the withdrawal pain. There's no escaping it

And there are those of us who tapered under the guidance of a psychiatrist, but still have a horrible, protracted withdrawal. I did everything right, but I'm still going through h3ll. It's better than it was, but still happening. Like today? Can't stop crying. My psychologist, who has training in addiction, says it's my brain trying to rewire itself and the prefontal cortex is turning itself on and off. She calls it "teenage brain." It's been over 9 months so far.

Antidepressants should be banned such a shame to prescribe such horrible drugs to normal healthy people

  • @christopher_ecclestone

I changed to Venlafaxine because fluoxetine stopped working for me. Now, can I cross taper off Venlafaxine with fluoxetine? Or do I have to find a different one?
